automated roadways where you got on the wired road and let it take over. Even better was the road was electrified, like a train's third rail. GM even played with the idea and set up a few experimental roads. Nowadays, we have the technical ability to do it, if not the will.

I like the lab meat idea. We can design it for taste and nutrition with no dead animals, cow farts, lakes of pigshit, or acres and acres of land designated for animal feed.
