The San Diego PD is protecting the Aurora shooter's family at their home in San Diego

The police spokesperson is Lt Andra Brown, who is a professional police spokesperson. She is acting on behalf of the family, who called the police, scared shitless as the media swarmed their street and the front of their house.

The PD responded and set up a security perimeter for the family home and for the neighbors.

The PD say they have no purpose other than protecting the family and protecting the peace and privacy of the neighborhood. The family has NO connection to the shooting.

In that the police spokeswoman has some level of resemblance to Sarah Palin, jokes are inevitable. Save 'em. Now is not the time.

I can only paraphrase what I read, it said she said that they got the right person in having detained her son. I know no more than that. I got to it via a link from the BBCAmerica news site.

and irritating in her presentation. In fact, if I were media, I think I'd be complaining vehemently. She was just so damned snide and sarcastic.
