Imagine The Situation If The GOP Got Its Way On Everything

I sometimes sit down in the "dead of night" and wonder what life would be like in the US if the GOP accomplished everything they want for the American people. And it could happen because the electorate is so "wacky" right now. What one concludes is enough to make one need a diaper.

They have accomplished and destroyed so much as a party already.

3. The good news is that they are dying off.

Remember when Cheney said that the increase in violence in Iraq was a sign of desperation ... he was wrong. But that is exactly what we see from today's far right wing.

They are dying out. They are losing women, minorities, the young. They are shrinking into a party of old white guys.

I can say that because I'm a middle age white guy, and I hear, and understand, their screams.

And you are correct, they are like a child who would destroy a toy in anger, rather than share it.

4. It seems to me that they have been for thirty years.

And look where we are. Our party is their party from twenty years ago. Our economy is in shambles. Middle class decimated. Unions all but extinct. Public workers eliminated. Social security and Medicare on the chopping block. Wall Street deregulated and pillaging with impunity. Endless war for the MIC. They ARE getting their way on everything little by little and no one is stopping them. They are not "dying off" as I see people saying. This shit is going to continue until we are third world because both parties are in on it.

No one stands for us anymore. Things that were considered far right ideas less than two decades ago are now considered socialist by the ignorant masses.

Where is the party of FDR? Of Truman? Of LBJ? Gone. Dead and buried. No one stands for labor, no one stands for fairness. It's impossible to tax the richest people. Our infrastructure is crumbling.

I'm sorry but this country is over. It's NEVER going to be the same again. We're never going to have full employment again. We're going to have to take increasingly shittier jobs with no benefits as time goes forward. Only the rich are going to get to enjoy the amenities while the rest of us slave for them just to survive.

It's too late to do anything about it even if someone wanted to, which they don't.
