Looks like Charles Manson is on his way out, the only way he could ever get out

Charles Manson in grave condition at California hospital

Wild-eyed cult leader Charles Manson has been hospitalized in California with a bleak prognosis, according to a report Wednesday.

The 83-year-old was brought to a Bakersfield hospital three days ago, TMZ.com said.

The notorious mass murderer serving seven life sentences in Corcoran State Prison in California has been suffering from health issues for some time.
.......
A source familiar with Manson’s condition told the web site “it’s not going to get any better for him.”

Charlie was everything our parents feared in their deepest nightmares: "drug-and-sex-crazed hippies" murdering (what seemed at the time) random victims in the dead of night. Throw in Altamont, and close the door on the '60s. Damned shame.

JFK's death begat LBJ. LBJ begat the phony Gulf of Tonkin Incident and the Vietnam conflict escalated. Vietnam begat chaos, the draft, protests and the "establishment." Chaos killed MLK, Jr. and RFK. Their deaths and the "establishment" begat Richard Nixon. Nixon begat more war, Watergate, high crimes and misdemeanors, and Gerald Ford. Nixon/Ford begat shortages of energy, meat and gasoline and Jimmy Carter. Carter gets nailed with the Iranian Hostage crisis, which begat Ronald Reagan.

It starts to speed up so fast at this point that it'll be one big run-on sentence. I'll spare you (and me).

Which is why there have been more books, movies and TV productions about Charlie and "family" than perhaps any other murderer(s). It's got Hollywood, the aforementioned "drug-crazed hippies" (one of whom tried to shoot Gerald Ford some six years after the initial murders, but she didn't chamber the round), it's got swastikas carved in foreheads, all sorts of hooks for true-crime aficionados (which I am not).

Tarentino is currently working on a Sharon Tate-Manson family film. I'm certain that will be over the top, (as if the crime itself wasn't).

I don't know if he was ever personally charged with murder that he committed?

It was his followers.

They listened to him.

He was like evil personified.

I suspect that once they linked them to him, as the 'ring leader', he was sentenced to death, anyway, so why spend more $$ on other cases. But there were likely other murders he did commit- Shorty Shea, for one.

I do know there are other cases of people who didn't commit the actual murder, but instigated and/or arranged it, and they got even harsher sentences than the actual killers. Pamela Smart comes to mind.
