...he directed it, but so what? Probably more invested in the movie, monetarily and content as director than the writer.

Nothing to do with the point he was making about Moore, though. Like a squirrel sighting.

Script writer does not imply ownership of a film, anymore than a staff photographer implies ownership of a magazine.
