It's been my understanding (from NCO's who instructed at West Point) that people flunk out all the time but they still have to fulfill at least 4 years if not the whole 8 --- I think it's an initial 8 year commitment.

From what I've seen of him the Army might have just said Go Away.

With digitally archived footage. However, conventional evidence paired with forensic technology still yield's conclusive results. Unless of course, you believe that dinosaurs somehow missed the call for Noah's Ark and that scientific dating is an anti-Christian plot.
