and not just because of the "DUMBO" -Disney era. I was so taken and impressed with their obvious intelligence, empathy, and human like characteristics--including response to trauma and protection of their group. Elephants, in fact have been studied for their very human-like response to PTSD, after herds were targeted by hunters.

My stomach has that horrible empty feeling one gets with grief, reading about what Trump is doing to these noble of all large mammals. I feel so helpless it is taking a toll.
