What sexual harassment/assault victim blaming *is* and *isn't*.

Victim Blaming is:

* Claiming the victim of an assault was "asking for it" because what he/she was wearing
* Claiming that victim of an assault's use of alcohol or drugs was a factor in the assault
* Claiming that a victim of assault or harassment was okay with abuse because he or she had laughed at sexually themed humor in the past, including from the alleged perpetrator of the assault/harassment

Victim Blaming isn't:

* Weighing the credibility of an alleged victim's story
* Investigating if there may have been any alternative motives for raising the allegations other than the assault having actually taken place.
* Investigating whether anyone else with some ulterior motive may have ties to the person making the allegations

This applies universally without respect to any political affiliation.
