I don't have a double standard, I just don't believe anyone associated with Hannity

Last edited Thu Nov 16, 2017, 07:43 PM - Edit history (1)

I don't have one standard for women accusing Republicans and one for Democrats, generally I start at a point of sympathetic belief, especially if they appear to not have an economic incentive and are obviously uncomfortable with the notoriety. If they are a public figure and may have an economic incentive I still don't automatically disregard what they say but will give it an additional level of scrutiny. The issue of whether the victimizer is a Democrat or a Republican is not relevant to me.

I also have another standard. I don't believe anything that doesn't have independent confirmation from anyone that has a reoccurring association with Sean Hannity. Anybody that associates with SH not only accepts deception, lies and fabrication but does so without regret or an active conscience.

Five or six years ago I determined to watch each of the Fox shows once all the way through. Shep Smith did quite a good job. I managed to get through Megan Kelly without gagging. I was able to watch O'Reilly for 10 minutes and so on with the rest.

I was only able to watch Sean Hannity for 5 minutes. It was a continual assault on well known historical facts. He lied about things that made no difference. The most egregious were the lies he told about himself. There was some issue where he pontificated and added "I am an expert on it, I went to a Seminary".

Seminary is a post graduate institution that provides Masters and Doctoral degrees on Biblical Study and Theology. There are very good ones that are accredited and attached to Ivy League Schools and there are unaccredited schools that are set up as diploma mills and have no serious relationship to academic study but even these schools require some form of a BA.

Hannity went to a high school that was attached to Sacred Heart Seminary, was expelled and then attended a high school St Pius Preparatory Seminary. He tried to attend college but was again failed twice, New York University and Adelphi University. For reasons that are obvious to anyone who has watched his show, Hannity was unable to succeed at the college level.

Every glimpse of the Hannity show I have seen has included obvious and easily researched factual errors. Anyone who is associated to that show either doesn't know what a fact is or is willing to destroy the truth for their own professional promotion.

Senator Franken isn't beyond criticism but no one should have to face unsubstantiated charges by the charlatans associated with Hannity.

Edited to add

Found this excerpt where she was assisting Hannity on the birther issue against Springer

https://www.mediamatters.org/blog/2011/03/24/hannity-passionately-defends-birtherism-demands/177887

HANNITY: What do you think about this birth certificate issue? I mean, it has not been my main issue, but it kind of does get a little odd here after a while. Can't they just produce it and we move on?

REP. MICHAEL BURGESS (R-TX): Well, obviously, there's some value to the White House not producing it. I don't know what that could be. This easily could be ended, could have been ended a couple of years ago. I don't know --

HANNITY: Jerry, that's a reasonable position. Is he right?

JERRY SPRINGER (talk show host): Well, no. I'll tell you why.

HANNITY: Release -- do you have your birth certificate?

SPRINGER: No, I finally -- well because I was born in England, and it was during the war, and really, I had to go through a whole process for my Social Security -- because I'm on Medicare now. I had to finally get --

LEEANN TWEEDEN (model and Fox Sports host): You had to track it down, and you did, right? And you had to produce it, right?

SPRINGER: But i found it. I found it. I found it. But because I was born in England, I can't be president anyway.

Trusting a birther sympathiser to tell the truth is like asking someone who believes the earth is flat to critique Copernicus.

They “had” the photo, for years

They built the story around photo
Using a theme they have disliked since it came roaring out.
Now they sit back and call LW hypocrites

Franken is responding correctly by inviting any ethics investigations.

Which would, if actually done, make his accuser go under oath. He's not afraid of testifying himself. Suddenly she was fine and wasn't calling for any investigation or discipline herself. Which does lead me to believe that she knows she was exaggerating, even if I might be wrong and she really just wanted an apology -- he's denying the forced kiss, yet she's not calling him on it or wanting to say he's lying.

Beverly Young has said she's happy to go under oath with her allegations, and Moore's refused. And is fighting back at Republicans who want him to address the issues.

I think that's how we win these. Transparency.

Essentially, Al Franken acted like a junior high kid at a sleepover and that was highly inappropriate in a grown man. He admitted it was inappropriate and is open to testifying on the more serious allegations as well. She isn't interested in pursuing them. Win.

He said Tweedem told him about the incident 11 years ago. He's setting himself up to be a contemporaneous witness.

The woman’s offered proof of wrongdoing is a demonstrable lie, and the kiss was, according to her, consensual, and after she expressed dislike never repeated.

And there’s a second woman now claiming she was stalked, because Franken wanted to discuss the federal budget with someone who ran a political radio show.

Stone, of the Nixon tattoo fame, is synonymous with dirty tricks.

If not, they should pull it and remove her from it. You know, out of respect for her sexual privacy.

I read it was the current issue and this was a stunt to sell more magazines. I haven't read Playboy in decades.

The fact Roger Stone also had advanced knowledge has got to have some people at least raise their eyebrows as to what is happening here.

We are at war with some very dirty card players. They aren't even afraid to tip their hand at this point because they know their base believes everything they say and the media is careful not to appear "one sided".

to think this has been orchestrated to be blown way out of context. Senator Franken has been handling it with class and sincerity in stark contrast to others.
