Just to gain notoriety. Or, we've known of young women who went out with a boy and then, fearing their parents reaction claimed rape. Only recently someone was released from prison after more than 40 years for false accusations.

Perhaps not much these days. Many parents do not expect their young daughters to be chaste but still.. the temptation for notoriety, or simple revenge can be strong.
