It's a feeding frenzy tonight...

And I don't mean cooking. We're feeding ourselves to the right wing trolls at a rate they just love to watch, and sometimes they even get paid for it... And we never seem to get what's happening.

So just knock yourselves out feeding and feeding because you just can't control the impulse to eat the bull shit yourself.

Got sense? Read the info, make a comment... then get out. If you don't, then I guess the Internet is over your head and politics too complicated.

Life is short. I for one don't intend on having it ruled by Trump, his minions or his masters. We have to be in control of our methods or we really are done. Fight like hell... but fight the real and present enemy, not the smokescreen.

I live in a very liberal neighborhood and the way things are covered on DU, including the importance posters place on them, seems to be way off compared to what people are talking about in the area. Most people are not even paying attention.

I listened to some NPR newscasts while driving home for Thanksgiving on Wed. NPR news is certainly NOT in any way a progressive or unbiased news source, although many liberals think that it is.

I don't watch the cable TV news shows or the broadcast TV news with the exception of the National PBS news hour on occasion. I tend to read the online foreign press.

At least my mom only watches the Today Show and not Fox News.

There is a progressive weekly in my blue town that just published an article on the top ten censored news stories of 2016 and 2017:
http://flagpole.com/news/news-features/2017/11/15/project-censored-2016-and-2017-s-top-missing-stories

Interesting story on the JFK papers NON-release: Trump (and CIA) violating the law to circumvent legally mandated release of documents:
http://flagpole.com/news/news-features/2017/11/22/the-jfk-coverup-continues-but-the-truth-is-seeping-out

The truly important issues and stories are simply not on most people's news radar.

It was compared to Moore. They are winning with help from some here and elsewhere.

From the Russian Troll monitoring dashboard (run by Clint Watts):
http://dashboard.securingdemocracy.org/

Between November 11 and November 17, we examined 55 articles that were among the top URLs shared by Kremlin-oriented accounts on Twitter. Over 40% of the URLs focused on sexual misconduct allegations; of those URLs, 42% attacked accused Democrats (or those connected to liberal causes), 4% promoted a narrative of a Saudi-linked pedophile ring, and 54% defended Roy Moore.
