4. the most unbelievably underpublicized event in the Trump presidency
Thu Nov 23, 2017, 07:25 AM
Nov 2017

and THAT covers some ground.

Dried up a critical source of intelligence and endangered lives and possibly got people killed. Done by Trump for no other reason to massage his own ego. Stupid fat fuck. Kisliyak and Lavrov had to be elbowing each other, whispering "I can't believe dees guy is DAT stupid".

Big news for about two or three days and no one has talked about it since. Meanwhile Hilary's emails.

In defense of the talking heads, give Trump fifteen minutes, and he'll say something so stupid it will make you forget about the incredibly stupid thing he said fifteen minutes earlier.

7. The President may disclose classified information, not illegal

The President has the right to declassify anything. His disclosure is therefore lawful. I suppose he could be guilty of treason by doing that but proving that would be pretty much impossible.

We are not going to get rid of Trump with criminal laws. And it would be better to have him removed by election so his supporters can’t claim his removal was illegitimate.

8. he didn't declassify anything though.

did not go through the proper channels and procedures. Just blabbed it to the Russians off the top of his head for no other purpose than to pump himself up. Part of making America great again, apparently.

9. He doesnt have to go through channels to declassify

He can go on TV and reveal something classified and that declassifies it. The President has certain powers inherent in his office. One of them is being the commander in chief. Congress can limit spending associated with his role as commander in chief, they can limit declarations of war, but otherwise they lack the power to tell him how to do that job. Keeping certain information related to national security secret strikes me as part of his commander in chief job. Mueller is not going to indict him for this.

The authority for classifying comes from the president. Basic Constitution 101 stuff there.

This is like saying that somebody 5 paygrades below the boss is really the person with all the power.

It's also worth mentioning that what he blabbed wasn't that the Israelis had hacked the ISIS computers and had a constant supply of information about their operations, most likely because they had somebody on the inside.

Repeating that sentence with just the actual "blabbing" to Russia would look like, "It's also worth mentioning that what he blabbed was ... because they had somebody on the inside."

All the rest was "leaked to ISIS" by people who most likely disagreed with Trump and who transferred the info to the Russians via the NYT or WaPo.

Those who leaked actionable intelligence to ISIS are heroes, of course. Because Trump.

10. That photo is beyond horrifying. It nauseates me. How can Trumpers be OK with this? How?

Then there's this, the last paragraph:

"What, then, was the fate of Israel’s agent in Syria? Was the operative exfiltrated to safety? Has he gone to ground in enemy territory? Or was he hunted down and killed? One former Mossad officer with knowledge of the operation and its aftermath will not say. Except to add pointedly, “Whatever happened to him, it’s a hell of price to pay for a president’s mistake.”

I have to disagree that it was a president's mistake. Everything this fucking, treasonous bastard said and did was INTENTIONAL and he'll do it again and again given the chance. He deserves the chair or a firing squad.

12. How can Trumpers be OK with this?

I'll try to answer that.

Their minds have been poisoned by Fox News, Rush, their pastors,
generations of racism and ignorance, faux patriotism, right wing lies,
the NRA, rigged elections, Russian backed propaganda and social media,
and their joy in seeing liberal tears.

Trump is part of the world's biggest organized crime operation in history
and that mob owns him.
