Without backroom knowledge, it certainly fits that description on its face.

I really like Biden, but I'm never going to forgive him for Clarence Thomas.

I watched the hearings and Anita Hill's treatment was reprehensible. It took Joe a long time to win me back.

Scalia's took 2 days, Stevens' and Kennedy's took 3, Rhenquist's and most others took 4. Powell's took 5.
