The Las Vegas Mass Shooting's many inconsistencies

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by DonViejo (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Note to mods: The authors have granted permission for me to reprint the full preface and selected other sections here at DU, so more than four paragraphs will appear below. Still, this is just a small excerpt of the research that Bernie Ellis (formerly DU'er FlyByNight) and his colleagues have assembled.

--------------------------------
PREFACE: ALL SOULS DAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2017

It has now been a month since gunfire erupted at the Route 91 country music festival in Las Vegas, NV, killing 59 people and wounding scores more. In the immediate aftermath, we were the recipients of a quickly and neatly wrapped narrative of the events, complete with a designated lone gunman, a hero named Jesus and the sadly now too commonplace pictures of makeshift memorials and hastily printed “Vegas Strong” tee shirts. We watched daily press briefings by the same uniformed law enforcement officials (LEOs), with other unspeaking LEOs always in the background. And our nightly news programs were filled, at least for a few days, with talking head hand wringing about this latest tragedy and what we could do to prevent the next. Unlike the forced narrative of what had happened on the Las Vegas killing field, there were no answers to how these now commonplace mass killings could be prevented.

But, unlike the massacres that have preceded Las Vegas, this story has not receded into our tortured collective subconscious. Instead, each day has brought more questions, none of them yet answered. Our designated shooter, Stephen Paddock, fits none of the elements of previous mass murderers. We have had key witnesses dismissed after only cursory questioning and others now dead or disappeared. We have had an ever-changing timeline for how the massacre unfolded, flip-flopping key elements in the chronology and introducing new on-scene actors a week after the shooting. Jesus, our designated hero, disappeared just before five scheduled major media interviews, his whereabouts unknown for a week. And then Jesus was resurrected on, of all places, a daytime talk show for his only interview. And this Jesus was three inches taller, forty pounds heavier and missing two prominent facial moles from his pre-disappearance days. And throughout the aftermath, we have had scores of eyewitnesses come forward to testify that the forced narrative was completely false (i.e., they know there were multiple shooters in multiple locations, at the concert grounds and at other Las Vegas hotels), eyewitnesses whose testimony has appeared on their Facebook pages or YouTube videos only. We have had armed services vets, both at the concert and thereafter, who knew from the sound and cadence some of the automatic weapons that were used in the massacre, guns that were not found in the designated shooter’s suite. Question upon question, ignored and unanswered. At least someone hoped. But that was (and is) not to be.

This report is an attempt to address the truth of the Las Vegas fish barrel massacre by first putting the lie to so much we have been told. We will attempt to present contrary information regarding 18 key elements of this story. We will provide some of the same links that informed our own inquiry so that the readers can retrace the steps we have taken which have brought us to our collective conclusion. Las Vegas was not the result of a crazed, lone gunman with access to too many weapons of mass murder. Instead, it was a well-planned and almost well executed false flag event, executed by numerous shooters above, around and within the concert crowd and abetted by official collusion and corporate media stupor. This time, however, unlike other pivotal events in our nation’s tortured history, the intended victims were well equipped with cell phones to document what really happened and to share that information quickly and deeply, despite the overly aggressive efforts of our shared social media platforms to sanitize our discussions. That didn’t work, and it is not working still.

So join us as we review 18 key disjointed elements in this tragic story. Read and watch the links we provide to inform and buttress your own impressions, opinions and conclusions. And then join the burgeoning mass movement to demand the truth about Las Vegas, and justice for all.

How We Got Started

Our collective search for the truth began when one of our named co-authors (BE) reached out to a Nevada friend, puzzled by some of the information he was hearing about the massacre. As his suspicions began to mount, BE contacted his friend who lives in Mesquite, NV, a friend in the casino industry with another friend inside a Las Vegas health facility. This is how that Mesquite friend initially responded:

“Well here is an over view. Shooter moved to Mesquite about a year ago into a 1/2 million dollar home in a gated community surrounded by neighbors and not one person knew him. He supposedly is a multi- millionaire who made his money as an accountant. Then that changed to real estate developer. He also has an expensive home in Reno but no other info there. They report he is an avid gambler who plays $100 per hand poker but no one I know who goes to the three casinos here in Mesquite has ever seen him. Now there is a report that he was formerly an employee of a major defense contractor. One of my coworkers lives in his neighborhood and no one there knew him or remembers seeing him.

“It is my experience that spooks use defense contractors as a cover. Maybe I’m crazy but this does not add up ….. I could go on for hours….. but I won’t.”

Later that day, BE received a second message from our Mesquite team member:

“You wanted to be kept up to date. The FBI and every news agency in the world is here in Mesquite and of course there’s just one leak after another. But what the word is now is this guy was undercover FBI and was an arms dealer and was providing guns to ISIS and that’s why he’s been all over the country. He has been spotted buying guns all over and in different cities. His Filipino girlfriend is said to have two different Social Security numbers and three different passports. She’s been traveling all over the world so I don’t know what her part in this is. But supposedly the Las Vegas deal is that he was making the gun delivery to ISIS and they found out he was undercover FBI. They’re the ones that shot everyone up and then they killed him in retaliation for finding out who he was. Now is any of this true? I have no idea but that’s what the leaks are saying.”

With that, BE posted a cryptic note on his own Facebook page: “If I told you folks what I just heard from a ‘boots on the ground’ NV friend re: the Las Vegas massacre, I’d have to shoot you.” That post was accompanied by an old Twilight Zone picture of a woman screaming “Eeeek!!” Almost immediately, some of BE’s friends responded. Others followed shortly thereafter and still more new friends joined our ad hoc research team as time progressed. Together, we set out to find our own answers to the Las Vegas fish barrel massacre and this latest “lone wolf with magic bullets” story. Together, we found a great deal, almost all of which neither the corporate media nor the Las Vegas LEOs seem to be pursuing, while literally hundreds of thousands of individuals and small ad hoc research groups like ours in this country and around the globe have formed and joined in hot pursuit of the truth.

Our ad hoc research group
BE is a retired public health epidemiologist with previous senior level research and program management positions at the National Cancer Institute, the Centers for Disease Control and in three states (New Mexico, Tennessee and Wyoming). Our second named co-author (RA) is a CPA and MBA who was at the Route 91 concert and was a close friend of one of the eyewitnesses who died shortly after posting her own version of events that night, an account completely at variance with the forced narrative. In addition, our research team includes seventeen other people, including a retired Naval Research Laboratory physicist, a retired high ranking military intelligence officer, three investigative journalists, Nevadans in the casino industry and in health care, a Christian minister, an IT/search engine developer, retired stock brokers, active duty and retired military, physicians, nurses and other highly intelligent and dedicated citizens who shared a desire to uncover the truth. For now, just know that our research group has uncovered enough inconsistencies, enough eyewitness reports and on-scene videos, enough post-event analyses to bury the Las Vegas lie. We hope that all of you reading this article will join in the hunt for the real villains in this Red October tragedy. By the time you finish, we expect you will agree there were a multitude of villains, if only the corporate media and LEOs would get on the job.

1. The designated gunman, Stephen Paddock

A. Who Stephen Paddock was

Over the past month, we have all been told many things about the designated gunman. Stephen Paddock was a brilliant student from a poor Los Angeles area technical high school. He was a high stakes gambler. He was a real estate investor. He was a former postal worker. He was a former employee of a prominent defense contractor. He was a world traveler who had certainly traveled the world (including the Middle East) quite a bit in the past year. He was an aggressive firearms purchaser (caught on videos in gun stores everywhere in the months leading up to Red October). Though twice divorced, he was involved in a long-term and apparently happy relationship and had a multitude of friends who described him as friendly, outgoing and a caring and generous person to friends and strangers alike. But he was also a secretive neighbor who kept to himself and who installed a tall a security fence around his new Mesquite home that fellow neighbors forced him to remove. And he possessed several homes in Reno, NV and elsewhere, with almost no furniture.

Greg Palast knew Paddock in high school, confused re: his involvement in the massacre:
http://www.gregpalast.com/went-school-vegas-shooter/#undefined.gbpl

Paddock visited Middle East in months prior to the shooting:

B. Who Stephen Paddock wasn’t

Stephen Paddock was not someone who fit any psychological profile whatsoever for previous mass shooters. As stated above, he was in a stable and long-term relationship and enjoyed the friendship and respect of many people. He was at least twenty years older than any other previous mass shooter. He was apparently very wealthy. He was not actively involved in any right wing or left wing radical political groups. He had no previous military or other tactical training. According to his brother, he was not even an avid gun enthusiast. Although he had been prescribed a mild tranquilizer in the past, he had no history of mental illness. In short, he shared with other mass shooters NO similarities. Even as we write this, more than a month into the post (multi)mortem, nothing has surfaced to explain his murderous behavior.

Paddock didn’t meet psychological profile for a mass shooter.
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/10/the-frightening-enigma-of-the-las-vegas-shooter/541830/

Paddock had no tactical training in the military or otherwise to explain the considerable tactical detail that was evident in the execution of the mass shooting.

C. Who Stephen Paddock might have been

Stephen Paddock might have been an illicit gun dealer. He might have been an FBI asset trying to ensnare ISIS in a gun sting. He might have been a large scale money launder. He might have been a large scale drug dealer. For that matter, he might have been anything and everything other than what he has been portrayed to be – a lone wolf with magic bullets. In the famous last words of Lee Harvey Oswald, Stephen Paddock may simply have been a “patsy”.

Possible gun running sting may explain his movements prior to the shooting.

2. The girlfriend, Marilou Danley: the most central and least interrogated key witness in crime history

We know that Marilou Danley, who had dated Paddock for over a year, left the country in the month prior to Red October and that Paddock had recently wired her $100,000, ostensibly to buy a house overseas. We know that, in the days immediately following the massacre, Danley was located by the FBI overseas and returned to this country. During the interrogation, Danley described Paddock as a “quiet, kind man” and was puzzled by and incredulous about his commission of the massacre.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10/04/las-vegas-gunmans-girlfreind-describes-stephen-paddock-kind/

However, in the oddest staging in history of an interrogation of the single most central key witness who could shed light on Paddock’s planning, his mental state and his movements; we know that Danley was not brought back to Las Vegas, the scene of a crime, to be interrogated by multiple local, state and federal LEOs. Instead, Danley returned to Los Angeles where she was interviewed for a few hours by the FBI, absolved of any culpability in the crime and then released, never to be interviewed again.

3. The designated hero, Jesus Campos

A. Jesus saved (or did he?)

Every great tragedy needs a great hero if we are to cross the T’s, dot the I’s, wrap a bow around the tale, send our thoughts and prayers out once again to the victims and their families, erect our miniature shrines and then move on. And for a tragedy like Las Vegas, no ordinary hero would do. We needed a Jesus, and we got one.

Jesus Campos was identified in the early post-massacre hours (and in version 1 of the timeline below) as the “hero” who first responded to the 32nd floor (checking, we are told, on a room alarm that had been activated three doors down from the shooter’s suite). For some reason, we were first told that Jesus interrupted the lone wolf’s deadly gunfire barrage on the concert crowd and that the gunman directed gunfire at him through the suite door, spraying 200 assault rifle bullets, ONE of which struck Jesus in the leg. That action stopped the barrage (again, we were told in the first version of reality) and for that, Jesus became our designated hero, honored immediately by his security guard union and suggested by them to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his heroic feats.

http://www.newsweek.com/las-vegas-guard-jesus-campos-deserves-presidential-medal-freedom-gunman-union-678473

As you will read below, that version of events soon changed but not before independent journalists discovered that Jesus was perhaps neither a licensed security guard in Nevada (a requirement for casino employment) nor listed as an employee (contract or otherwise) of the Mandalay Bay.

http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/10/25/tucker-carlson-las-vegas-massacre-questions-jesus-campos-security-guard-and-police-hung

B. Jesus disappears

While real independent journalism was taking place out of the spotlight, a host of national media outlets cued up in the immediate aftermath of the massacre with their principal investigative reporters and/or commentators ready to interview Jesus, interviews that likely would have cemented his hero status and opened the spigots of donations to a gofundme account to pay his medical bills. All America waited with bated breath to hear the first words from this hero, to understand what he had gone through, to cast waves of glowing admiration toward this good and great man. And then Jesus disappeared, with no one seemingly knowing his whereabouts or whether he was safe. At least no one who was talking.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4978254/Vegas-guard-disappears-moments-talking-press.html

Only later was it discovered that Campos had immediately left the country, taking a 700 mile round trip deep into Mexico, a quite surprising sojourn for the most critical material witness to the events immediately surrounding the massacre. Whether this witness received clearance from the FBI or LVMPD to leave the country is unknown, but to grant such permission would have been unheard of.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5020107/Jesus-Campos-left-country-just-days-LV-shooting.html

The day after his disappearance, two independent journalists tracked down Jesus’ residence and attempted to interview his family regarding where Jesus might be. On the first visit, no one would come to the door for minutes and then when they did, a member of Jesus’s family said that they could not talk, even though the journalists made clear that all America was concerned about his whereabouts.

The next day, when the same journalists returned, they were met by an armed security guard (employed by a private security company and perhaps by a federal agency) who would not identify who was paying for his services nor why Jesus’s home needed his protection if the designated lone wolf was dead. Despite minutes of persistent questioning, no answers were forthcoming. A huge rock had been rolled over the cave-like tomb of Jesus, and no answers were to be found.

C. The Ellen DeGeneres interview. Why her? And who’s that guy?

The weekend passed, as did most of the next week. No one knew where Jesus was, even though many journalists (and perhaps a few LEOs) were looking for him. And then, we got word that Jesus had arisen from the (perhaps) dead and was now ready for his media close-up. On a daytime talk show led by Ellen DeGeneres, who may dance a wicked step or two but who has absolutely no journalistic training or experience, for a prerecorded interview capable of being edited before broadcast. For, it was announced, his one and only media interview. Ever.

The music started, the curtain parted and out walked … Jesus (?). Really? Only now our Jesus (let’s call him Fat Jesus) was several inches taller, at least forty pounds heavier and relieved of two prominent facial moles which were obvious when it was Thin Jesus in the pre-disappearance photos. Fat Jesus went through his well-rehearsed account of the ordeal (no doubt rehearsed because he might actually have not been there the first time), accepted all of Ellen’s softball, fawning questions, refused any huge cardboard check, and then walked off (with the slightest of limps) out of the spotlight. As MGM, Mandalay Bay, Ellen (in business with the other two) and no doubt others dearly hoped.

D. Thin Jesus vs. Fat Jesus (facial recognition analyses)

Not so fast. The miraculous resurrection of Jesus as a taller, fatter version of his previous self immediately brought skepticism from untrained eyes like ours. And in short order, this transformation brought the hard scrutiny of a host of experts in facial recognition who proved, in short order, that Fat Jesus was NOT Thin Jesus. (Two of those analyses are below.)

Facial recognition analysis of Jesus
&sns=fb

Another facial recognition analysis of Jesus

As we type this, Fat Jesus is living inside the Mandalay Bay. And Thin Jesus is still … disappeared.

MGM gives Jesus a room in their inn.

There are many other key eyewitnesses to this tragedy and we will include many of them in this article. Before we do so, it is time to discuss how this tragedy unfolded in real time. To do that, let’s review the timeline. Or rather, the five timelines that have been proffered so far. Who knew that, in Las Vegas, reality was a multiple choice question.

4. The ever-shifting timeline(s) 1 through 5 (so far)

We are now one month into the aftermath of this massacre and we are up to five different timelines for how the tragic events unfolded. We received this memo from one of our Nevada team members, in Las Vegas, early in the aftermath of the massacre:

“It is such a mess out here. The timeline changes hour by hour. They keep adding ‘actors’ who were involved that have not been heard of until a week later. Whoever planned and managed the release of information in this mess has made a complete cluster fuck of it or is brilliant. Even channel 3 NBC news is starting to report with a ‘wtf?’ attitude and they are the conservative, swallow the kool-aid, station.
“Whoever is controlling this is smart. They have released so much information, then reversed, changed, added, until there is no way to track or analyze any of it. Usually the same people are questioning the validity of an incident. This time, everyone is shaking their heads. Who knows. It’s so bizarre and completely impossible for it to have happened this way.
“One thing that is emerging is that Mandalay Bay may have been involved at some level. It’s been reported the security guards are not allowed to call 911. That happens from a central control. Average response time for Metro Police to respond to a casino event is four minutes. This time it was 77 minutes before they entered Paddocks suite. So were they called and did not respond or were they not called until much later? It just goes on and on as to Mandalay Bay’s responses that are out of the ordinary.
“Now the federal government is said to be giving Nevada a million dollars for the shooting. When have you ever heard of that before? Everyone here is questioning who will receive that money and why?”

(snip - the details of the five, sequential and varied timelines are presented at the source website)

B. Concertgoers

1. Kymberley Suchomel

Kymberley Suchomel, a 28 year old mother of one, attended the concert with friends, including one of our named co-authors (RA). She wrote a very long and detailed account of the ordeal which she posted on her public Facebook page. Her account was so riveting and so detailed, and so insistent that there were multiple shooters, that her Facebook post was shared over 1,800 times on others’ pages within two days. Within three days, Kymberley was dead of an apparent stroke while her husband was away from home. Shortly thereafter, her Facebook page was disabled by her husband because of hundreds of responses it was receiving (some quite unpleasant and menacing). And, with that, her account of the massacre was also scrubbed from all 1,800+ other Facebook pages on which it had been shared.

Fortunately, her account was archived by several people before it was scrubbed and the link below will take you to her full account. Readers should definitely read her entire write-up. This is a pivotally important account of the events during and after the massacre and it deserves to be read in its entirety. What follows are excerpts from her report. Important passages are bolded, italicized and underlined.

http://archive.is/cgRzy

(After the shooting had begun and Kymberley’s group was fleeing) “We were rounding some sort of corner maybe. I looked to the right and I saw this large cowboy sitting down with his legs spread, holding a blood-soaked woman. I thought to myself “We NEED to hide”. But as I looked quickly for somewhere to go, the gunfire once again got closer and closer. We couldn’t hide because they (and I do mean THEY) were chasing us. That exact moment is when I started really to panic. That is the exact moment in which I thought this was it, I was going to die, I was never going to see my family again.
“But the gunfire wasn’t stopping this whole time. It wasn’t ceasing. It wasn’t slowing down. And it was directly behind us, following us. Bullets were coming from every direction. Behind us, in front of us, to the side of us. But I know, I just know, that there was someone chasing us. The entire time I felt this way. The farther we got from the venue, the closer the gunfire got. I kept looking back expecting to see the gunmen – and I say MEN because there was more than one person. There was more than one gun firing. 100% more than one. That is when the gunfire got even CLOSER than ever before. It was RIGHT THERE. It was within the parking lot. Everyone around us was panicking once again.
“The second place I remember going by was Hooters, which is where we met back up with the rest of our small group. We ran towards the entrance thinking we could take cover there, but as we got closer, a stampede of people ran out, terrified. We could only conclude that there was another gunman inside of that hotel. This made us even more scared – we had nowhere to go – no one to trust.”
Here is how Kymberley ends her account. Her closing sentiments would be echoed by every other eyewitness to the evening’s fatal events.

“I have been watching the news non-stop since I arrived back home to my family. And it just doesn’t make sense. The story that they are feeding everyone doesn’t add up to our eyewitness accounts. There is something wrong with what they are saying & the evidence seems fake if you ask me. There are multiple people stating that there was a lady towards the beginning of the evening who had made her way up to the stage warning people that we were all going to die. She and her boyfriend were escorted off the premises. Why has she not been mentioned by authorities?

“Tons of things don’t add up. Every single survivor I have talked to ALSO remembers multiple shooters, and AT LEAST ONE from the ground. WHY aren’t we being taken more seriously?

“We went to Las Vegas for a super fun, down to Earth country concert featuring our favorite artists. We left scared, scarred, traumatized and broken. And for that, we demand answers.”

Three days later, Kymberley was dead. Of a stroke. At age 28. While her husband was away from home.

http://yournewswire.com/las-vegas-eyewitness-dead/

2. Rocky Palermo
Rocky Palermo was also at the concert and was wounded as he tried to flee the scene. He was “100% sure” that there were multiple shooters, including some on the ground, and he states that every other wounded concertgoer he spoke with afterward confirmed his own impressions. Perhaps the most chilling thing Rocky said (other than also confirming multiple shooters) was what happened with many of the exit gates at the concert immediately before the shooting started.

“I definitely do believe that there was 100% more than one shooter. Every other person that I’ve talked to that did get, unfortunately, hit as well, have all said the same thing. When we got shot initially, I didn’t know, didn’t care which way it came from, I just knew it was time to run. I ran about 200 yards and in an 180 degree line from where the gunshots were coming from, at least the sounds. Got behind a car, made a call to my parents and I thought that’s kind of where I’m hanging out right now until it at least subsides past that. I’m waiting and all of a sudden we hear a little whizzing going by us and the bullets are just flying by. When something’s coming down or at least from a different angle, they are either going to hit the ground or a lot of things are going to happen. When someone is shooting from a straight horizontal, they’re just going to keep flying. As soon as we heard a little break in it, we knew we had to keep running. We heard the gunfire approaching where we were, they kept getting closer and closer and louder and louder and I knew we were getting gunshots that were closer to us than where we originally started and that is when I knew we had to run. I do believe that there were people inside the venue that once the initial shooting started and everyone kind of panicked running and everything, once the lights were turned on the stage and lit everything up, it was a lit target.

“Every other night at the concert, everybody exited right off Las Vegas Blvd. That was standard, that was routine, you get out of the concert, you go down to your hotel. At 10 o’clock, they closed every exit on Las Vegas Blvd, every single one. They gated them all closed with chain link fences. At 10:08 the shooting started, and we were pigs sitting in the corral. We only had one exit to go out of and I’m sure no one was familiar with where we were going, everyone was kind of just running, following the sheep is what we were doing. The same exits we had left out of Friday and Saturday night were definitely closed. There were people that went over there and tried to leave and there were cops that were telling them no, you have to go the other way, you can’t come out here. Go the other way, run the other way. There were just a lot of things that didn’t sit right.
“Of course they are trying to come up with a story and trying to close this as quickly as they can, and put this behind everybody, the whole country, the whole nine. But it was very interesting you know with all the police activity, even at the hospitals, interviewing the patients, I don’t think one patient has been able to leave without giving another statement, myself included. As soon as I got discharged, two Federal agents wanted to get another audio statement when I left and I’m telling them the same thing I’m telling you, I believe there were at least 3 to 5 shooters, 100% there was not one person shooting from the 32nd floor.”

In addition to the evidence excerpted above, the source goes into great detail about possible other sniper positions (notably some towers under construction just behind the stage lights - so no visible muzzle flash) that were cordoned off by police just after the massacre, and then even reports of concurrent shootings at other hotels. There are acoustic analyses that are, frankly, above my head, but claim to show a variety of positions and weapons in addition to the AR's wielded by Paddock in his Mandalay Bay Hotel room. There are many other survivor testimonies. I think it's very worth a full read. The questions raised are myriad. The answers to them are inevitably ominous.

Whether any particular question raised has a simple or innocuous answer seems almost immaterial when there are so, so many questions, and so many eyewitness accounts that differ from any of the five, successive official narrative revisions.

I told Bernie privately first, and will reprise here that I think that the section at the lvfishbarrel.com website about his own computer crashes, etc. seems a little weak. Occam's Razor offers many other answers when it comes to an individually-owned and older computer. And there are other sections that might be full of holes too. But even if 1/4 of the questions and evidence they have assembled is patently false, what about the other 75%?

Yes, I do consider this entire overblown, long-winded screed to be a pile of pure bullshit.

It's a written version of the "Gish Gallop," made famous by creationist Duane Gish, he'd rattle off in debates so much bullshit that he KNEW was bullshit, and it would take a long time to refute everything he spouted.

BTW, one of the "sources" for this screed is "Yournewswire."

A horrendous fake (that's right FAKE) "news" web site.
