One potato, two potato, three potato Moore

The "logic" soon will be that because the charges of sexual misconduct/harassment have become so prevalent, it doesn't matter that Moore did anything, because "everybody" does it.

As Initech posted on 11/28 at 7:54 pm (Here's the Thing About Roy Moore That They're Not Telling You) this exercise is indeed about Christian Dominionism, control of the judiciary and complete conversion of the United States to a theocracy. I have noticed that many here comment to the effect that they have heard nothing of this, so I offer the following quote from George Grant, of Coral Ridge Ministries:

"World conquest. That's what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the gospel. And we must never settle for anything less. Thus, Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land - of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ. It is to reinstitute the authority of God's Word as supreme over all judgments, over all legislation, over all declarations, constitutions, and confederations. Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ - to have dominion in the civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness. But it is dominion that we are after. Not just a voice. It is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after.

I know a man who believes in this dominionism. Of course, he thinks HE is the one who God wants to rule. (Ted Cruz would disagree: "I am supposed to rule!&quot

He is a smarmy, smug man, utterly devoid of compassion. To him, Christ's teachings had nothing to do with morality or kindness or love. Rather he would read the gospels and somehow find in there an edict that he-- my acquaintance- would rule the world. It was really impossible to discuss this with him. He was cheerily convinced that his domination was ordained in the Bible.

But then he got arrested for tax fraud, and last I heard he was in federal prison, where no doubt he is preaching his dominance to other inmates.
It's a very strange viewpoint. Pence...well, he's maybe more standard rightwing religious, but he's got a bit of that "I am destined to dominate and God said so" aspect.
