This is so bad. We have just gotten list of amendments to be included in bill NOT from our R colleagues, but from lobbyists downtown. None of us have seen this list, but lobbyists have it. Need I say more? Disgusting. And we probably will not even be given time to read them.

3. I remember a quainter time

when one of the reasons for tax reform was to "simplify" the tax code.

Does that look like a law that could allow your taxes to be filed on a post card?

The methodology of putting this together is just adding insult to injury. The law would be bad enough even if it were done by the book.

5. dont all those amendments make the bill cost more money

and shouldn't it have to be scored by the cbo? If 1.5 trillion is the max the bill can cost without being filibustered? How is it not a violation of the Byrd rules to pass this through reconciliation? Considering it is impossible to tell how much it cost?
