what Carrey said was intended as a slight to gays. He was wishing Joeforshore would have a gay child because Joe would love his child and get over his hatred of gays. I really think Jim Carrey meant well, even though the wording was strange.

Maybe he'd been relaxing with a few drinks and the other guy's tweet pissed him off after a couple too many?

That guy he was responding to has all sorts of hateful shit on his Twitter feed. It's disgusting.

Jim Carrey speaks out against homophobic bullies
Jim Carrey who played a man who came out of the closet in the film ‘I Love You Philip Morris’ has spoken out against bullies who target victims on the basis of their sexuality.

“This is a horrible thing to be bullied, and to feel like an outcast is a terrible thing,” the star said. “It’s just so an old thing, an old antiquated way of thinking that you can’t have any more. It doesn’t belong in the new paradigm.

“Every time you look at somebody and think, ‘I don’t like that about that person,’ you just got to know that’s about you,” he added.

“Anybody who bullies anybody for any reason is no friend of mine. Frankly, I can’t imagine hitting a human being for any reason except self-preservation, if I was attacked. Your sensibilities are different when you’re a school kid and there’s gang mentality, but it ain’t cool.

Hopefully he doesn't get too much shit for it. I think it may have come off better in his comedic over the top voice but still...

First Jim Carrey said this:

Jim Carrey ?@JimCarrey
My love to the victims in Colorado. The kid ws sick bt u who can still support automatic weapon sales r the real maniacs in this country.

A 'fan' responded with this:

@JimCarrey this makes u a faggot! And a pussy! And one less fan. U should keep ur mouth shut after u show ur sympathy. Were not all crazy!

Jim Carrey resonded with this:

@Joeforshore Who needs ya. Good luck raising your gay child. You will have one cuz that's how God teaches biggots how to love.

she said that her church believed God wouldn't give you too much to handle. That children with birth defects were born to teach people compassion. She happens to be a lesbian and she also believes she was born to teach bigots how to love people who are different.

But how dare him!!! He Tweeted somethng and his language was not perfectly perfect, as every celebrity's language should always be at all times!!!!!! Just like every time you touch your keyboard - you never put out an emotional response not worded very well, ever - you only use language that is perfectly perfect for whatever situation you are writing about, and thus, if you can do it, then a celebrity of Jim Carrey's stature should do it as well and better!!!!!!

Such unrealistic standards we place upon celebrities...Carrey does not appear to be wishing harm upon gays, or a gay child. Rather, he wants to heap a pile of schadenfreude on the guy he responded to, who IMHO, clearly deserves it.

Sheesh...

Chris Rock did a similar bit in one of his shows. The theory to which he subscribed: "Whoever you hate? That's who'll end up in your family!" Similar thoughts as expressed above: Fate confronts people with their biases - or it should.
