1. I want Jones

to win as much as anybody, but let's be honest, he is going to lose probably by double digits. Why? No offense to you or your family, but the state is MOSTLY full of uneducated white trash (your family and friends excluded, obviously). Just a hopeless state. I live in St. Louis and I feel the same way about my state. It did not use to be that way in Missouri, but it has trended that way since the turn of the century and has now gone officially full retard and there is no going back anytime soon.

2. My great-grandparents fled Alabama more than 90 years ago

I have some distant relatives there, but most of the people I know aren't living in Alabama.

Although it's clear that there are too many regressive minded voters in that state, it does have good Democrats. I'm all supporting them when we can.
