and far too large a betrayal of the electorate to support illusions.

I think only a few were always extreme enough to consider joining a plot to break our government and rebuild in a different form, like nice-faced libertarian Ryan supported by the Koch alliance. Others undoubtedly never imagined that Trump would be elected and that they could be carried along by events to this point.

Now they can see that it could really happen, though. It's time to speak up for democracy, to send quiet but definite signals to their leadership that they won't support sedition. And where are they? I do agree virtually all will cut and run when they find their own skins are at stake.
