Lesbian couple file protection order against man accused of stealing, burning gay pride flag

A lesbian couple have filed a protection order against an Omaha man who is accused of stealing a gay pride flag from their home and setting it on fire.
Ariann Anderson and Jessica Meadows-Anderson filed the order against Cameron A. Mayfield on Monday. According to court documents, detectives told the couple that Mayfield was making delusional claims about stalking, and suggested that he seems unstable.
About 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police said, Mayfield stole the rainbow flag that had been hung outside the couples home, which is south of Hanscom Park. He left but returned a few minutes later, and had set the flag on fire. Mayfield, 23, waved the burning flag in front of the house.
Police arrested Mayfield soon after. Hes accused of arson and resisting arrest.
