Full WV Legislature votes to override Gov. Tomblin's abortion ban veto

Source: WOWKTV.com

West Virginia state senators took the final step to override Governor Earl Ray Tomblin's veto on March 6, voting 27-5.
Earlier in the week, the governor vetoed a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks, citing constitutionality concerns. It was the second year in a row he did so.

The bill, which will now become law in 90 days, provides exemptions if a mother's life is danger but does not do so for cases of rape or incest.

The bill initially passed both the house and senate with an overwhelming majority.

The Republicans just gained control of the WV legislature. They are busily dismantling all progress and turning the clock back.

The idiots don't care. Just shove it on the idiots who voted them in, who don't seem to understand that once Repug idiots get a majority, they do this. Every time.

Tomblin is a centrist, yet understands that a total late term abortion ban will be a disaster.

That is what they get. If Roe is overturned women in non right wing states will still have rights. Maybe they will think more seriously about poverty and women's health in the future.
