West Virginia state senators took the final step to override Governor Earl Ray Tomblin's veto on March 6, voting 27-5.
Earlier in the week, the governor vetoed a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks, citing constitutionality concerns. It was the second year in a row he did so.
The bill, which will now become law in 90 days, provides exemptions if a mother's life is danger but does not do so for cases of rape or incest.
The bill initially passed both the house and senate with an overwhelming majority.

The Republicans just gained control of the WV legislature. They are busily dismantling all progress and turning the clock back.
