Three more companies recall spinach products possibly contaminated with Listeria

Three more companies that supply retailers nationwide have issued spinach recalls after a supplier found the leafy green contaminated with Listeria.
Superior Foods Inc. of Watsonville, California; Twin City Foods of Stanwood, Washington; and La Terra Fina issued recalls of spinach products Tuesday. They join Wegmans, Amy's Kitchen and Carmel Food Group who also issued recalls this week for products made with spinach supplied by Coastal Green Vegetable Company LLC of Oxnard, California.
Coastal Green Vegetable recalled its bulk spinach on March 20, 2015, due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, according to a press release.
Superior Foods is recalling its Simply Balanced Organic Chopped Spinach 10-oz steam-in-bag product sold at retailers nationwide, including Target stores. The affected products include a Department, Class, Item number (DCI) 270-00-0663. The also have UPC code 85239 00663 and the following production date codes and Best-By codes:
