Poll: Clinton trails top Republicans in battleground states

In Colorado, Clinton trails Rubio 38%-46%, Bush 36%-41% and Walker 38%-47%.

In Iowa, she trails Rubio 36%-44%, Bush 36%-42% and Walker 37%-45%.

And in Virginia, Clinton has the narrowest margins between her and her Republican opponents, where she lags behind Rubio 41%-43%, Bush 39%-42% and Walker 40%-43%.

The results offered more indications that Clinton has a problem: Voters say they don't trust her.

In Colorado, only 34% of voters said they see Clinton as honest and trustworthy while 62% said they don't. In Iowa, the numbers were 33% to 59% -- a drop from 45% to 47% in April. And in Virginia, Clinton did best, at 39% saying they trust her to 55% saying they don't.

This election is too important to go with a candidate that can't win the battleground states.

It's time to start talking seriously about Clinton's electability problem. Whether that means Bernie Sanders, as I would certainly like, or drafting Biden into the race if you are more of a third-wayer, we cannot put up a candidate that is pretty much hated by the entire right and garners only lukewarm support from many within her own party.

1. early numbers are not terribly important, and can be quite volatile

that said, it's pretty sad that the Democratic bench was so shallow that the only Plan B alternative, realistically speaking, is an independent/socialist.

And, I would like to know who thought it was a good idea to not use a government email at all. I'm not bothered by it, but when you have a perception problem, don't feed it.

was 2009 when another 5 million families were about to be tossed into the street, another 20 million hungry people were about to find themselves ADDED to the rolls of people we already had in poverty and on food stamps.The whole country was about to be told that bank$ter/donors would be enriched many times over while millions of families were left to rot.

Now we have tens of millions people who have moved into poverty and near poverty, along with their children and their children's children. And a few rich bank$ter/donors.

If you are just now thinking about elect-ability problems, the problem is not with the Republicans.

3. Quinnipiac again. If Biden or Sanders become the front-runner they're going to face similar scrutiny

and attacks, resulting in lower poll numbers for them as well. That's assuming their numbers are OK right now. I don't know since CNN only focused on Hillary's numbers, which goes back to my point about her facing the most scrutiny right now as the front-runner.

5. her faux listening tour? Her poor campaigning?

Methinks this should be a wake up call for her, but it won't change anything. She's not Bill, and she cannot handle a campaign like he would have.

My reaction to her campaign so far? Meh.

And that is the problem.
