19th CD Democratic leaders back Teachout for House seat
Source: Mid-Hudson News
POUGHKEEPSIE The consensus of the chairs of the Democratic committees in all 11 counties in the 19th Congressional District is to support college professor and former gubernatorial candidate Zephyr Teachout as their candidate for that post.
Incumbent Republican Christopher Gibson is seeking reelection.
Dutchess County Democratic Chairwoman Elisa Sumner said the chairs were impressed with the qualifications and commitment to public service shown by all four and would be proud to have any of them represent us in Washington, but she said, deliberations and input gathered from the chairs resulted in the consensus to support Zephyr Teachout as the Democratic candidate in the 19th.
The three other candidates interviewed by the party leadership were Margo Miller, Julian Schreibman and Will Yandik.

Will be interesting to see what she does for funding; this can't be a protest campaign like her run for Governor.

She'll get my financial support if she runs a serious campaign.

He won by 8% and then by 6%.
Also, the Republican incumbent has said he won't seek re-election, so it will be an open seat.
