Two Canadian Soldiers Stabbed in Toronto

Two Canadian soldiers were stabbed in Toronto earlier today. According to the Toronto Police, the attacker entered a Canadian Forces Recruiting Center (CFRC) armed with a knife and stabbed two soldiers.
A 27-year-old man, the attacker walked into the recruiting center at around 3:30 p.m. and attacked the soldier behind the reception desk. The attacker was quickly subdued by a group of 6 to 8 Canadian soldiers working at the CFRC. According to CBC News and the Toronto Sun, the knife-wielding man said the word ‘Allah’ while attacking the soldiers.
“Some heard him say, ‘Praise Allah’ and others heard ‘Allah’ or ‘Aly,’” a police source told the Sun. “Several heard the man use this terminology. It’s not something you take a chance on and this is why the call was made to the police agencies who handle terror issues.”
“We’re very fortune that the Canadian Forces, through their training, responded, reacted, and as a result I can tell you the chances of this being much more severe, much more serious, definitely would have occurred,” Saunders added.

Toronto Police Chief Saunders said they are considering a possible terrorist attack. The unidentified man will be charged with assault.
