Ahead of Phoenix Rally, Sanders Abruptly Ends 12 News interview
PHOENIX - Sen. Bernie Sanders is returning to Phoenix for another rally on Saturday night, and we sat down with him Thursday. Briefly.
We met up with Sanders before a Thursday speech at the Twin Arrows Casino on the Navajo Nation.
We discussed his wife's recent visit to Tent City, his votes on gun legislation, border issues, and why he's optimistic about his chances in Arizona.
Then the senator abruptly ended the interview, saying our time was up.
The full interview will air this weekend on Sunday Square Off at 8 a.m.

(5,792 posts)and that is why he left. He said thank you very much and left. They are biased as hell. Bernie was standing up for his wife. Will see when the interview is fully aired what the interviewer was saying to him that upset Bernie. But the way it is worded is just nasty.
But the Hillary group is trying to make it seem like Bernie did some horrible thing. Geeze Hillary was horrible in treatment of that student...remember. The stuff is flying around here and on that station.

(92,187 posts)interview as described, that does not serve him well, and he should not have done it that way.
The interviews are not going to get any easier, and if Bernie is the nominee he can't do that

(3,263 posts)Saturday night and this post mentions four different subjects they covered. They asked him about Sheriff Joe and he didn't want to play anymore. Glad to see he smelled BS and left. I'd like to see the whole interview and where it was going with it being AZ
But,....This is late breaking news ?

Hopefully that appearance of her smiling and being nice to the Sheriff will end the constant posting of a picture of GOVERNOR Bill Clinton sitting with GOVERNOR Wallace and George Bush at a meeting of GOVERNORS from 30+ years ago.

The typical bully, their ditzy sheriff broke up her meeting with an activist to inject his racist opinion and defend his racial cleansing operation.

The only thing he is missing is a way to gas everyone.
President Sanders probably had to rush to take a shower, to get the stink of that town that lets this go on off of him.

(30,613 posts)I'm glad Bernie's wife went to draw attention to Arpaio's concentration camp (he proudly says "I already have a concentration camp!" in this clip).
Don't know why Bernie terminated the interview - will have to see the whole thing to figure out whether it's a trick the TV station is playing.

Have you no priorities? No sense of what is really newsworthy in a primary campaign.
I could not possibly be more disgusted by your post. I'll gladly take the hide I know this post will get because I refuse to insult DU by adding the sarcasm emote to a post that is so obviously sarcastic.

(45,251 posts)I'm in Boston. That was an eye opener. At least the Secretary of State made some remark about it being annoying. He did not only bullhorn outside. In Newton, he actually entered the small area where people were on line to vote, so small that opening the door put him abouit four feet away from people in line. Unbelievable! But, of course, no one recognized him or knew why he was there, so it was fine, as long as he didn't say, "Vote for my wyyfe."

(51,550 posts)Of course, Bernie did not explain why he voted for the bill, he only deflected.
Given the campaign-damaging issues raised, I guess he had to skidaddle.
Of course, he must also have been exhausted, having to endure a whole 4 minute interview, LOL.

(274 posts)Like he did after his NH victory, when he took 2 minutes out to fund raise $5,000,000... because he ain't got no super pacs. It was a very long victory speech, cuz he knew he had TV tube exposure and the MSM could not cut away or the blackout would of been so apparent, the internet would have blown up with social media. He foreseen the fallout potential of Iraq war fomenting ISIS and I'm sure he was a good judge of what this reporter was up to. He gave a mini stump speech then said thanks for the gumball Popeye... Next! Maybe the reporter should go see what's happening at the Bundy Ranch.
