Pima County voter help line re-staffed after Recorder's Office building was evacuated

UPDATE: Pima County says the staff at the Recorder's Office was allowed back into the building around 6:35 p.m. and an additional 15 staff have been added to help the voter help line.
According to officials, Tucson Police Department found an item in the garage of the building. TPD received the report at around 5:30 p.m.
Due to bomb threat reports that occurred earlier in the day, TPD decided to send the bomb squad to the scene.
Officials say the area is still closed off.

TUCSON- The Pima County Recorder's Office says their staff has been evacuated from the Public Service Center located at 240 N. Stone Ave.
Pima County says their voter help line is currently unstaffed due to the evacuation.
Any voters with questions can find information at the Recorder's Office at recorder.pima.gov or the Pima County Elections at webcms.pima.gov.
Polls will close at 7 p.m.
