No jail time for man who secretly recorded girl showering — and put the video online
Source: Raw Story
A Wisconsin man who used his cell phone to secretly record nude videos of a 14-year-old girl and her mother will not serve any time behind bars, according to the Leader Telegram.
Daniel C. Anderson, 32, was arrested in 2014 after a neighbor reported a man looking through the girls bedroom window. He was apprehended by Eau Claire police and admitted to making the recordings.
The officers found a four-minute video of the girl showering and getting dressed on Andersons cell phone. They also uncovered twelve more nude videos of the girl and four nude videos of her mother. The video of the girl was uploaded to the Internet and made accessible to the public, according to court records.
Anderson will be on probation for two years and is required to complete 20 days of community service
Anderson had also faced a felony count of possession of child pornography, four misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy and misdemeanor counts of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct but those charges were dismissed.

(61,695 posts)I would bet soon, after a stressful day. For all we know, his community service will include yardwork for battered women's shelters. He'll volunteer to trim the hedges around the bathrooms. Maybe we'll get lucky and a furious husband will beat him to death.

(6,785 posts)I'd be willing to bet he's going to do it again. He might be more careful about getting caught next time.
It's amazing to me that the same country where a teenage girl and her boyfriend can be prosecuted because she sent him pictures a grown man walks free after creepshotting a child. Was he rich or related to the judge or something?

(61,695 posts)is such a crock. This is the first time he got caught, but apparently he'd been doing it awhile. Why doesn't his behavior qualify as a repeat offender?

(3,557 posts)That'd leave a mark on his record for life and cause him all sorts of well deserved hardships. 2 years of probation is wayyyyy too lax for exploiting a minor.
