Bundy sues judge in Nevada standoff case, wants her removed

Ken Ritter, Associated Press
Updated 3:30 pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2016

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy is suing the federal judge handling his criminal case stemming from an armed standoff with government agents, with a complaint that accuses President Barack Obama, U.S. Sen. Harry Reid and one of Reid's sons of plotting to steal Bundy's property.

Bundy lawyer Joel Hansen handed a copy of the lawsuit to U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro in open court in Las Vegas on Tuesday, and he told her that because she's a named defendant, she should remove herself from Bundy's case.

The judge responded that case law doesn't let a defendant create such a conflict.

But Navarro invited Hansen to identify whether her work as a prosecutor in the Clark County district attorney's office before she was nominated to the federal bench created for her a conflict in the Bundy case. She set a May 25 date to rule whether she'll step aside.

Couldn't have been her name, or could it? If only that wall had built 100 years sooner.

2. Would he ever call a white judge a "white activist"? No. Just "activist".

That's racism that the racist is not even conscious of because it is so deeply ingrained.

White privilege.

Just in case, you know!

7. If you follow Bundy's reasoning, is *any* federal judge qualified to try this case?

A tenuous association with people who said bad things about him
along with a generous helping of conspiracy theory.

Does anyone associated with state or federal government have
clean hands as the Bundy Bunch sees it?

I'm not sure there is any help for them, but wonder, if, perhaps, cult deprogramming programs might help.

Not that it matters, I guess. Because it is unlikely he will ever walk free again.

that one of his lawyers is planning on using the filing of this case as a basis for an insanity defense at some point.

Every time they appoint a new judge to hear the case, he'll just sue him or her - in America you can sue anyone for anything - and demand the new judge step aside because he or she is "a defendant in a case against him (or her)."

Too bad I'm not in Nevada right now...there's a pretty good chance I could raise a class action against this worthless fuck for conspiracy to steal our tax dollars.

Everyone charged with a Federal offence should try that. Who knows if the judge was high on meth he or she just might find that argument convincing
