"Honorary chair" - it's a position with a fancy sounding title, engineered to keep her away from sharp objects.

Practically speaking, she has no power. She's been shitcanned, and this "honorary chair" is just a face-saver.

Realistically, the job description consists of making speeches at the few places left where she won't be booed.
