Trump Testifies He Planned Infamous Mexican ‘Rapists’ Speech In Advance

Source: Talking Points Memo

Donald Trump testified in a deposition last month that he'd planned in advance to focus his infamous campaign announcement speech on criticizing Mexican immigrants, whom he called “criminals” and “rapists.” That comment sparked a year of non-stop media attention and the termination of several of Trump's long-standing business relationships.

Though the real estate mogul did not script that part of his rambling 45-minute campaign launch, he revealed in a June 16 closed-door deposition testimony that he intended those comments to be central to his introduction to the 2016 arena, Politico reported.

Trump is currently suing two celebrity chefs, Geoffrey Zakarian and Jose Andres, for pulling out of plans to establish restaurants at the hotel he's constructing at the Old Post Office building in Washington, D.C. over his disparaging comments about immigrants.

"Did you give any thoughts to the effect that your statement relative to Mexicans and immigrants would have on tenants in your current or future projects?" Zakarian’s lawyer, Deborah Baum, asked Trump during his deposition in that lawsuit, according to Politico. "No, No, I didn't. I didn't at all," Trump said. When Baum asked if the media misinterpreted those remarks, Trump replied that they were accurate, according to the report.

I looked back and can't find the source. I thought it was Businessweek.

But don't worry. As a conservative President, I am sure he will enact tort "reform".

The republican that this story is about does not care if it is good or bad press as long as its press / attention on media networks . How many stupid 5th grade bully tweets or statements of his are flashed daily ? His supporters I imagine would say " yes we knew he did not mean that " and reference the book of his that they think he wrote and in reality it he did not . I have seen statements along the line that say its all in the deal ask / demand for more and then get what you wanted . Stuff like that has shown up at F r . Many know he is all show ........ Ask yourself what is the underlining theme that ALL republicans agree on they want to defeat ....... my opinion is they do not care about anything else .

My hope is to hear more from those that have been wronged and swindled but more in a tangible court arena ( actual court dates ect ) than a verbal war where words can be changed to fit / benefit him .

No doubt overlooking the beautiful landscaping outside his hotel room - both of which are lovingly maintained mostly by Mexican-Americans.

But he also knows that racial hatred plays among Rethug voters like almost nothing else does.

Give the people what they want...

Of course he planned it. He loves to get people angry and is clearly trolling us all.

Dude needs to lose really bad. This needs to be a historic landslide to give us a clear mandate that hate is not America's values.
