Black caucus to stage walkout during Holder contempt vote in House

Black caucus to stage walkout during Holder contempt vote in House
By Jordy Yager - 06/27/12 06:57 PM ET

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) plan to stage a walkout during Thursday’s vote on whether to place Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress.

The CBC is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday to discuss the details of the walkout and is planning to circulate a letter to House Democrats requesting that they join them on the Capitol steps for a press conference during the contempt vote.

The move comes less than 24 hours before the House plans to vote for the first time in history to hold a sitting attorney general in contempt of Congress for not complying with a congressional subpoena. Holder is the first black attorney general in U.S. history.

The walkout is reminiscent of a similar move made by Republicans in 2008 during a Democratic-led vote on whether to hold two senior staffers in President George W. Bush’s administration in contempt of Congress.

We've got enough on this board to send Issa running with his tail between his legs. And they are bound to have more that we've seen here. Hope Pelosi is out there or calls media to re-iterate her statement that this is for vote suppression and nothing else. They have no case.

The walkout is a great idea! To hold this vote is complete disrespect of our President. I hope all the Uglicans end up looking like worms on the end of a hook they made for themselves.

The Senate is hopelessly broken, the Supreme Court is owned by Radicals, money is concentrated by those who sell us out. Bless the Black Caucus.

How about ALL the Democrats walk out during the vote, and the 30 blue-dogs that are going to vote with the Republicans because they're scared shitless of the NRA get locked out of the Democratic caucus for the remainder of the year.

If they're so anxious to distance themselves from Democratic policy on gun control...heck...it will be even BETTER for them, politically, to be BANNED from playing with the other Democrats!

The bottom line is this: The massive amount of gun violence that's happening in Mexico, AND spilling over the border into the U.S. is ENABLED by these NRA-Duped asswipes. Forget the contrived scandal about the AFT 'walking' guns to Mexican drug dealers. The fact is that 99.99999999% of the guns in the hands of Mexican drug gangs got their because the NRA and their asshole stooges RESIST ANY AND ALL ATTEMPTS to even KEEP TRACK of who's buying assault rifles in the United States! All a drug dealer has to do is give some unemployed American kid $10 000 to walk down to the corner gunstore in Pheinix and buy him $5000 worth of assault rifles, and keep the change, and it's all perfectly legal thanks to the NRA and their puppets in Congress. Including Democratic puppets.

The underlying story of the whole Fast and Furious saga is the hold the NRA has over our politicians and how it has used that to
handcuff the ATF and systematically destroy any gun laws.

Why is Isaa involving the NRA in a gun running operation that is destablizing Mexico. That is a question that NEEDS to be asked.
Mexico has already issued a Diplomatic Complaint over this....
