Paul Ryan, Other Republicans Take Distance From Donald Trump After Russia Comments
Source: Wall Street Journal
WASHINGTONHouse Speaker Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) and other Republicans distanced themselves from Donald Trump on Russia Thursday, criticizing Russian President Vladimir Putin one day after Mr. Trump said he welcomed praise from the Russian leader.
Vladimir Putin is an aggressor that does not share our interests, Mr. Ryan told reporters Thursday, when asked about Mr. Trumps comments on Russia. Vladimir Putin is violating the sovereignty of neighboring countries.
Mr. Trump has called Mr. Putin a strong leader and noted in a forum televised on NBC Wednesday night that the Russian president has an 82% approval rating in his own country.

Mr. Trumps admiration for Mr. Putin has long caused heartburn for many Republicans on Capitol Hill, who have largely been critical of the Russian leader.

Add Trump's bromance with Putin to the list of things that Republicans get a free pass on.

(10,252 posts)Ryan wants to have it both ways: avoid censuring Trump, while saying RW patriotic anti-Russian stuff that Republicans love. Spineless, depraved Ayn Rander. Mr Clean ain't so clean. He's a weasel if there ever was one.

We need to step up our efforts to help her win...for us. We need to sound the alarm, do everything in our power to warn our friends and neighbors about Trump.

(24,695 posts)the only thing your concerned about is to turn this country into Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead and having a dimwit, who has no clue but will do it because he thinks, if he gets elected that he is the best thing since slice bread was invented and all that you have been doing since you got into office is attack social security, medicare and anything else to blame from which people used there own earning to help them later in life, while you are being bribed to the cronies of wealth.
Which if looked from that perspective like it should be is just as bad a Putin and trumps world vision, and your only concern is the U.S. Supreme court being the enablers of what your frigging party has been doing since the Louis Powell memo and then you come up with this "quote"
Vladimir Putin is an aggressor that does not share our interests, Mr. Ryan told reporters Thursday, when asked about Mr. Trumps comments on Russia. Vladimir Putin is violating the sovereignty of neighboring countries.
Then the U. S public for the last 20 months got to see the "soft ball" questions being thrown around from the media and the favoritism, and the free pass that was generated, getting what the Media wanted out of the election of instead of getting the "total" information out to the public
