New low: Disgraced Dem Anthony Weiner sorry after texts to 15-year-old revealed

Source: Fox News

Disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner told FoxNews.com Wednesday he knows he has a problem after his never-ending sexting scandal reached a new low with revelations he sent X-rated messages to a 15-year-old girl.

Weiner’s alleged sexting with the then-high school sophomore, who was not identified, began in January and lasted several months. Weiner’s wife, top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin, announced in August that she was separating from Weiner after a different sexting scandal hit the news.

"I have repeatedly demonstrated terrible judgement about the people I have communicated with online and the things I have sent," Weiner told FoxNews.com.

I like sex too. But come on. You'd think after everything that he's gone through, he'd stop this kind of nonsense.
And with a 15 year old? The only think you should be texting to a 15 year old is "have you finished your homework?" and "turn that music down."

He'd be best off voluntarily committing himself now, since I don't think he would have a shot at meeting the legal requirements for insanity. As a former lawmaker, there is just no way that he cannot say he did not understand the consequences of his actions.

Really sad. He was very talented, and is obviously very not right in the head.

Still, his best move right now would be to voluntarily commit. It would at least position him better for claiming inability to stand trial.

Of course, the other problem is that, given his personality, to claim "inability" to do anything seems damn near impossible.

They're going to need to do a sequel to that documentary about him, which I'm still looking forward to seeing.

Let me make this clear: Anthony Weiner is a man with some serious psychological problems. He needs to get professional help immediately. I think he's despicable and emotionally deficient.

Now, the slippery slope. BlueStater, you wrote, "If he was just into normal, everyday sex stuff..." I'm not sure what you mean by "normal." The incredibly wide range of activities and ideas that humans find sexually stimulating is amazing. In short, anything in our lives can be eroticized. A fast skimming of any porn site will illustrate my point: the categories of sexual videos are numerous with hundreds of subjects available. Accordingly, the rhetorical question is, "What's normal?"

Let me stress, Mr. Weiner is not normal; he's psychologically sick and needs help. But I don't know where to draw the line about what is okay between consenting adults. I guess if no one gets hurt, I don't care what other people do. In my life, we keep it to ourselves and have a lot of fun!

Lots of what might be considered a sexual fetish or out of the ordinary in some way actually falls into the realm of normal. Obviously, once a minor child has been brought into the picture, we don't even have to worry about blurry lines of normal/abnormal because even "normal" sexual encounters are morally/socially/legally wrong. I've long felt that Weiner has a problem, in part because I knew someone who had similar impulses. This person didn't do anything "abnormal" or "weird" per se but his impulses to act out sexually at inappropriate times, in inappropriate venues is what made it a psychological problem for which he needed to get help. That's how I see Weiner's issues. It's easy enough to have a clandestine relationship that involves sexting, sharing erotic images/videos (although the risk for a public figure is high when that kind of digital trail exists), exploring all sorts of sexual fantasies without it falling into the realm of sexual compulsion. Weiner's problem is that it is a compulsion, so much so that he's started pushing/breaking new social boundaries and he truly is a danger to himself and society.

Weiner Faces Sexting Claim From Girl, but He Calls It a Hoax

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS NEW YORK — Sep 21, 2016, 8:29 PM ET

Disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner has acknowledged he communicated online with a girl who accused him of sending sexually explicit messages, but he said he's also been the subject of a hoax.

An online news outlet, DailyMail.com, on Wednesday published an interview with the 15-year-old girl, who said the online text and video exchanges, including Skype chats in which Weiner asked her to undress and touch herself, went on for several months this year.

The Daily Mail also published screen grabs of texts provided by the girl, whose identity it didn't disclose.

-snip-

The girl told the Daily Mail she told her father and a teacher about the relationship last spring.

Weiner gave The Associated Press an email, purportedly written by the girl to her teacher, in which she recanted her story.

that I'm willing to give him just a sliver of the benefit of the doubt UNTIL this "hoax" thing is completely examined and the rest of the story comes out. He doesn't seem to be presenting the hoax premise with a great deal of indignation. He seems to be trying to take full responsibility for his predicament but asking people to look at evidence that might indicate that things aren't quite as filthy disgusting bad as they seem.

But I'm certainly not holding my breath because it walks like a duck and he's quacked his way into this situation. And after all, it is Anthony Weiner we're talking about here. Sigh. Our Anthony Weiner. I really want to believe that only repukes can be this disgusting. Blech.

Not all sex offenders are mentally ill. Some people are truly evil and should be put under the jail, but A Weiner is obviously mentally ill. Jail will not make him better. Certainly, the public has to be safe from his harmful behavior, and the courts should mandate that he enter a locked mental healthcare facility until the completion of treatment. He is a danger to himself and others, and his bad behavior is escalating.

Sex crimes are so ugly, and so difficult to treat that we throw up our hands and yell "throw the bastard in jail," instead of focusing our attention on finding a cure to prevent others from victimization.

The "I need help" cliche is spewed by narcissists as psychological manipulation. Then, they go back to what they were doing before, hoping to not get caught. Watch for him to check himself into some bs rehab (spa) center.

Weiner is not sorry. He doesn't care that he emotionally hurt a child. He will do this again. He is a predator, and doesn't see anything wrong with what he did.
