(5,255 posts)I'd like to see if I can get a new one soon. I don't want it to explode, though.

Samsung rushes all of its products to market.
Think about this when you consider one of their Tablets, TVs, refrigerators, or washing machines.
Not just their phones.

(26,290 posts)if I had the cash to buy either as battery problems are not an uncommon occurrence with tech and yes even Apple has had issues like that with varies versions of their iphones going boom due to battery issues.

(26,290 posts)I simply pointed out that battery failures are not something thats isolated just to Samsung but if you want to bury your head in the sand then so be it.

(2,642 posts)The "that" is the tendency of the Note 7 to blow up; a tendency which has gotten it banned from flights.
But even if you are referring to the "new" problems with the Note 7 "accelerated battery drain and difficulty charging" - I'd like you to cite which Apple phones had widespread issue with that either.

(26,290 posts)need to defend Apple for some reason so you will have to get jollies from someone else.

(2,642 posts)Ok. Keep saying you didn't say that.
At least have the guts to go back and edit your post to not say exactly that. Meh. Don't waste your time I already got a screenshot.
Admit you were wrong and stop making shit up.

(2,642 posts)"Its a bit random, he told dailytelegraph.com.au, the thing to be very specific about, the phone did hit the ground, it didnt just spontaneously combust. It was a one in one million chance I hit a part of the phone which pierced the lithium battery and it exploded."
The phone was pierced. It didn't blow up just because it was charging. It was damaged. Not Apple's fault.
The second citation involves Apple Laptops from 10 years ago. Your original post says Apple PHONES go boom. Not laptops.
Just admit you made shit up.

(26,290 posts)which is what you would be buying atm.
You might want to consider the Samsung 6 though it looks pretty nice or if you want a phone with somewhat newer tech the Iphone 7 might work for you assuming of course there arent any apps that are not android only that you cant live without.

(128,906 posts)I had wanted the S4 because it was WEA (Wireless Alert)-capable at the time it came out (the iPhones weren't until recently).
