A Vote For Third Party Is A Vote For Trump, Obama Says

Source: Huffington Post

President Barack Obama on Wednesday said that anyone who votes for a third party candidate or does not vote in the November election is supporting Donald Trump.

“If you don’t vote that’s a vote for Trump. If you vote for a 3rd party candidate that’s a vote for Trump,” Obama said during an interview on Steve Harvey’s radio show.

Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are earning 7.4 percent and 2.4 percent in Real Clear Politics average of national polls. Neither candidate was invited to participate in the first presidential debate, but still had plenty to say during it.

Obama, who has campaigned for Hillary Clinton, also told Harvey that his legacy was on the ballot in November.

I've heard far too many but hurt people saying they will vote third party due to principle. Principles can be interpreted several ways. Principles without pragmatism leads to stupidity. They don't understand or refuse to understand what is at stake. It's a form of selfishness.

I'm not going to hang my gay, black, Muslim, Latino, poor, female, etc. friends and family out to dry by wasting my vote on someone who doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning

These special snowflakes can shove their "principles" where the sun don't shine

That is one less vote for Trump. Remember Ross Perot? Who got elected with Republicans voting for him? A vote for Libertarian is one less vote for Republican ticket for Trump.

who don't vote for Trump is an indirect vote for Hillary, which is why I brought up Ross Perot. Republicans who voted for him gave the election to Bill Clinton.

In PA. She said one of the two frontrunners will win. You can swing a precinct for either candidate, either by voting/gotv for hillary or voting third party..

paraphrased but pretty close.

for the "lesser of two evils" and moaning that they need to be "inspired" by a candidate otherwise it's just too hard to decide whether Clinton or Trump, the only two people with any chance on earth of getting the job, would make a better POTUS.

If you live in a solid blue state like California or Oregon or New York or whatever, fine, go vote for Jill Stein or whatever other fucking quack you can think up to write their name in.

But for those of us who live in Florida, Colorado, Ohio, etc we can't afford to throw our vote away on a fucking protest vote. Too much is at stake. So for those us who live in those states, if we're not voting for Hillary then we're voting for Trump, period.

who would never vote for Hillary under any circumstances and also doesn't like Trump I think it is a good to direct them to either the Libertarian or Constitution Party candidate. I know someone who wouldn't vote for Hillary just because of the abortion issue (pro-lifer), but she hates Trump and she will be voting for the Constitution Party candidate. I see this as taking votes away from Trump.
