Trump Campaign Quietly Shouts About Clinton Sex Scandals

Source: NBC News

Donald Trump doesn't think he's gotten enough credit for not talking about Bill Clinton's history of sexual misconduct in Monday's debate.

Just ask his son, Eric Trump, who said it took "a lot of courage" for the Republican nominee not to attack the former president. Or his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who told MSNBC on Tuesday that Trump showed "presidential virtue" by not talking about the Clinton scandals.

The scandals, of course, have been successfully revived by Trump and his allies this week — including in this article — by pretending not to talk about them.

In a risky move for a thrice-married adulterous nominee, Trump is making a full-on pivot to the former president's sexual misbehavior. While the candidate demanded praise during the debate for his winking show of restraint and top aides say he plans to take "the high road" and focus on jobs, top surrogates have been out in force to raise the issue in explicit terms.

If Trump wants to make marital fidelity a touchstone, why doesn't he agree to the unsealing of papers from his prior divorces?

So if/when Trump *does* bring it up, then by extension that would be uncourageous and lacking in Presidential virtue.

The reason why is because his bigoted mindset (and those of most of his pithed supporters, yeh... I'm talking about you Ailes' News) can't even comprehend a woman as an equal much less a superior. It's a concept totally beyond their comprehension.

6. Of Course, Trump and Giuliani Would Blame Their Wives for their Infidelity

I am sure this will resonate with women voters. The reason why men cheat is because you enable them. Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani were mere victims who were enabled by their malicious and vicious ex-wives.

As you point out, Didn't he "cheat" on his 2 previous ex-wives??
Do you think he waited until after he was divorced before he took
the newer models for a test drive ??? Sexist hypocrite.

What is the point of saying, "Your husband cheated on you."
except to smear, shame and degrade the woman. In his warped
mind, it is a reflection on the woman -- straight out of the 1950's.

please proceed, Donald!

There was an article as recent as July 2016 that points out some perils in this strategy though! Please see Hillary Clinton’s popularity surges when bad things happen to her http://www.vox.com/2016/7/11/12105960/hillary-clinton-popularity-poll-approval-ratings

It contains this little nugget:

During the second term, Clinton took on a more traditional role — less policy advocacy, more Vogue covers — and her popularity began to rebound. Then came the revelations of Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky. The president’s popularity stayed high throughout the entire scandal, but they were high already. Hillary Clinton’s approval rating climbed from 56 percent in December 1997, before the Lewinsky story broke, to what was then a historic high of 67 percent a year later.

A thrice-married frequent adulterer who calls women "pigs" (among other epithets) and who allegedly committed child rape would do well to avoid such pitfalls - or so anyone sane might think.

If anything, Hillary was a victim.

fault that the husband is an adulterer. He thinks he is slamming HER when he brings up Bill's adultery. He thinks SHE should be ashamed.

It's medieval.

Plus it doesn't have one goddamn thing to do with HER becoming President! We're not hiring Bill! And if we would be worried about Bill, why the hell wouldn't we be worried about TRUMP'S infidelity, if that was such a big deal? Does anyone really think that Donald wouldn't fuck anything that moved if he became President of the USA?? Mind-boggling.

And not only that, the can of marital fidelity worms is now open. Mr. Trump, would you care to explain how it is that women have a hard time staying married to you?

So obvious, and so childish. "I was gonna say something so rough...but I didn't, and I deserve lots of credit for that."
