.

When reading the article, the following popped out:

Side-by-side comparisons show Crowley lifted sentences, with a few words switched, from John Lewis Gaddis’s book Strategies of Containment: A Critical Appraisal of American National Security Policy During the Cold War and Thomas Christensen’s book Useful Adversaries: Grand Strategy, Domestic Mobilization, and Sino-American Conflict, 1947–1958, as well as other books and articles on foreign policy. In some instances, she cited the author in the text, but did not use quotation marks; in others, there is no attribution.

This shows that it was not a failure to attribute work, it was a deliberate attempt to lift and rewrite work.

As such, fraudulent intent appears to be there.

"Although college and graduate school alumni may assume their diplomas are set in stone, there's no such thing as "no backsies" when it comes to college conferrals, as Joel McHale's character on the television show Community knows. McHale plays Jeff Winger, a lawyer who enrolls in community college after his degree is revoked. School administrators—both on television and in real life—seem to think of the degrees they dole out like driver's licenses, which can be suspended or revoked for bad behavior..."

And then gives 10 examples that will warm your heart.

He was busted for plagiarism in the press, and the university that awarded (or whatever) his doctorate took it away.

Usually it's at the urging (orders, really) of the person nominating, or the nominating committee. Trump doesn't care about this kind of thing, so she'll very likely stay.

Richard K. Betts, really should have caught this.

And for him to decline to comment now . . ?

Apparently, as the saying goes, it's OK if you are a Repub.
