Mexican prosecutors raid warehouse as part of vote-buying investigation

MEXICO CITY - Mexican prosecutors say they have raided a warehouse and found sacks of farm goods and machinery that may have been used as part of an attempt to buy votes in the July 1 elections.
Leftist parties have mounted legal challenges to the election results, claiming vote-buying by the winning Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI.
The Attorney General's Office for Electoral Crimes says it found hundreds of sacks of oats and beans in the warehouse in the town of Sain Alto, in northern Zacatecas state.
The office said Saturday the raid was carried out after people complained the town government was giving the goods out in exchange for votes.

Heaven forbid that Mexico have a leader that put Mexico above the interests of the corporations.
