Dems plot 'constant campaign' against Trump in war room
Source: The Hill
Its been nearly three months since Election Day. But as far as the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is concerned, the campaign against President Trump is far from over.
While the party hashes out who will be its next leader, a group of two dozen operatives has assembled a party war room singularly focused on taking on Trump.
Zac Petkanas, the former Hillary Clinton campaign rapid response director who leads the project, told The Hill before Trumps inauguration that he plans to wage a constant campaign to keep up the pressure during the early days of Trumps administration.

Brocks American Bridge super PAC has its own war room staffed with campaign veterans. Brock is also raising money to create an online platform he touts as a Breitbart of the left.

Note they're talking about two different war rooms there.
Btw, I ran across the link to that article just after seeing this tweet from Oliver Willis of Media Matters:

Good point. Trump usually has overnight or early morning tweets dominating news coverage before there are any Democrats responding.

(7,895 posts)He has promised much before but as yet failed to deliver. His purported campaign against Trump seemed frequently to miss the target, as much of the media did as well.
We do need a focused challenge to the official GOP mouthpiece. I have to say I am not reassured that Brock is up to the task. Then again he started his career as a political hit man so maybe this will suit him.

(91 posts)I have asked Keith Ellison, Jaime Harrison, and Tom Perez through various means of communication what support they would provide for the 2017 VA state elections.
Unfortunately, before I posted this original message, I missed a response by Mr. Harrison on twitter that NJ, VA and municipal elections will be in the forefront of their efforts. My apologies for missing that.

(56,828 posts)is that he doesn't have a seat in Congress and can do the job full time. While I like Keith Ellison a lot as well, he's in Congress. So, he would either resign his seat and Dems temporarily lose a vote in the House, or he splits duties, which is something I don't want at all.

(68,556 posts)However, having watched DWS (no matter what you think of her politically) ignore the states to the ruin of the Democratic Party in my opinion...concentrating on national elections. I would prefer to have someone who is not in Congress. A governor or in this case a cabinet member would have a different focus which is what is needed. In Ten, the elections were run in a terrible way and it cost us enormously...that one was the worst, but none of the elections were run well during Pres. Obama's years in office.

Trump is low-hanging fruit. We should be aiming our fire at Faux Noise, Paul Ryan, and the Heritage Foundation, IMHO.
