So sad.

(21,148 posts)She was kind of standoffish and so skinny. But she raised a lot of money for junvenile diabetes that I overlooked that. Sorry to hear she is near her end.

(130 posts)...her show when it aired. It was an all-time great lineup on Saturday night. All in the Family at 8, M*A*S*H at 8:30, Mary at 9, Bob Newhart at 9:30 and Carol Burnett at 10. No better 3 hours of comedy on a single night EVER. Sadness reigns over my day.

(11,563 posts)She was such a generous performer on her MTM show. Let other people shine all the time, and often took a back seat in a given episode. It was like the events in the show went on around her, instead of her being the chief protagonist.
