New sex abuse allegations against Jerry Sandusky, report says (corrected)

Source: NJ.com

Three men have told police they were sexually abused by former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky in the 1970s or 1980s, according to a report by PennLive.com.

Citing sources close to the Sandusky case, the website said the alleged victims are the first men to claim they were abused by the now-convicted pedophile prior to the 1990s.

One of the men who reported the abuse told police it happened in the early 1970s, when Sandusky would have been in his late 20s, PennLive reported.

FULL story at link.

One doesn't just become a pedophile at age 50 or whatever. There will never be justice in this case.

Pedophiles start early. The anomaly in this case is that it took so long for him to get caught.

Usually, when the pedophile gets brazen enough to put himself in a position where he has ready access to many vulnerable victims, and actually abuses many victims, he gets caught. Someone sees, or someone tells. And if he doesn't have a protective structure covering up his crimes, he goes to jail.

That's what is so nauseating about the pedophile priest cases, and this one. Covering for the pedophile allows him to continue for years. So many victims that could have been protected.

He admitted to the crime of knowing about the abuse for over 25 years and allowing it to continue.

a crime is a crime. That is why states have mandatory reporter laws (when it is a crime to not report it). I would think he would be vulnerable in civil court, but criminal court I don't think so.

Just like you don't have a duty to assist someone else.

Nobody waits until they're in their 50's to suddenly begin acting on their sexual urges.

Jerry has, more than likely, been at this since his teens.

as more shoes drop in the Penn State Board of Regents/President/V-President/Athletic Director/Paterno/Sandusky matter I think about the Vatican/Popes/Cardinals/Bishops/Priests and see the exact same failures from bottom to top and back down again.

What will Penn State (and all of those people who lied to the grand jury and looked the other way for decades) do to keep assets out of the hands of the victims that bring forward all those lawsuits? There will be at least 30 more victims that come out of the woodwork.

Hope every moment of confusion, dispair, spiritual agony forced upon these people will be atoned, somehow, someway.

It seems so much worse hearing he's been doing it even far longer. He must have believed he was unstoppable.

Ugly, ugly pervert.
