John Podesta Says Forces Within The FBI Wanted Hillary Clinton To Lose
Source: Huffington Post
Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta criticized the FBI on Wednesday for how it responded to the Democratic National Committees hacked emails, which U.S. intelligence agencies say Russia stole and gave to WikiLeaks in order to tip the election to President Donald Trump.
I think to this day its inexplicable that they were so casual about the investigation of the Russian penetration of the DNC emails, Podesta said during a cybersecurity panel at the NewCo Shift Forum in San Francisco, according to TechCrunch. Clinton campaign general counsel Marc Elias and CrowdStrike president Shawn Henry, whose firm investigated the DNC hacks, were also on the panel.
They didnt even bother to send an agent to the DNC, Podesta said. They left a couple of messages at the IT help desk saying, You might want to be careful.
There are at least forces within the FBI that wanted her to lose, he added.

(409 posts)Didn't the FBI join the CIA in deciding that Russia intervened to change the outcome of the election?
And it is currently actively investigating several people close to Trump for their ties to Russia.

(58,785 posts)DNC headquarters. At no time, during the entire last spring and summer while the FBI monitored the Kremlin running around in and stealing from DNC files, did he or any other agents of the FBI notify the Democratic Party LEADERSHIP that this was happening. The lack of response after informing a low-level IT subcontractor gave them extremely excellent reason to believe the information was never passed on to the leadership.
I believe big charges, including treason (aiding Russia), should be brought against Comey and others identified as involved. Note that nothing in the definition of treason requires collusion, only that it supplies aid and comfort.

(624 posts)cemented it for me. I do seriously hope the investigation(s) are ongoing, and continuing to bear fruit. Treason is the appropriate charge, in my mind, and nothing less, if my suspicions are accurate. Aside from all that, if anything at all shows interference, then I would say for the first time in our nation's history (that I know of), new elections should be held. I also really hope our leaders are in the mode to get to the bottom of this quickly, before any more damage can be done.
As far as I'm concerned, he is an illegitimate President, with an illegitimate administration. He deserves 0 judicial appointments, especially one the legitimately belongs to Democrats. I'm spitting mad about this. Pitchforks.

(58,785 posts)and a lot of people in and out of government are watching. It would actually be surprising if Comey was not holding something on our current president, though, and very possibly Jeff Sessions given his bad character.
More is coming out about Comey's enmity toward the Clintons than was known outside inner circles before. He was involved in the attempted political assassinations of the Whitewater era, of course, largely funded and created by right-wing billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife. Comey was also reportedly "enthusiastic" about using some of those last-minute pardons at the end of Bill Clinton's presidency as an excuse to launch yet another "investigatory" smear based on false allegations. Remember how he brought THAT up right before this election? Years of clear indications of very bad character, including repeated abuse of power, yet this man had a public reputation of being a man of honor and integrity.
Pitchforks, indeed. I feel the same.

(9,600 posts)One of the FBI's main missions is to protect the United States from Espionage. The Russians cyber attacks are a form of espionage that has to be investigated. Why the FBI would overlook this illegal act and cyber attack against the US is serious.

This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information. These actions caused significant delays and inhibited the FBI from addressing the intrusion earlier.
