Morgan Freeman gives $1 million to pro-Obama super PAC Priorities Action USA

Source: WaPo

Freeman issued a statement urging others to donate to help the Obama campaign combat spending by conservative groups.

“Pres. Obama has done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances. He ended combat operations in Iraq, put in place sensible reforms of Wall Street, saved the auto industry and protected the health care of every American. He has led our nation to be more tolerant and placed impressive, accomplished women on the Supreme Court. In return, he is the target of hundreds of millions of dollars from right-wing sources. I am proud to lend my voice - and support - to those who defend him. Priorities USA Action is doing a great job of protecting the values I believe in. I am happy to help them and I hope others will join me.”

Freeman, whose newest film “The Dark Knight Rises,”opens Friday, shared one of his own political objectives in a recent Newsweek interview. Banning marijuana use is “just the stupidest law possible,” he said.

in his roles as an actor. he has selected excellent roles as well.

I also thinks he is an outfront kind of guy with his donation. Unlike most of the folks on the other side who for the most part don't want to have their name attached to the Republican dufas.

Remember John Voight, when he was young, he was a I think, a great actor as well. Now he is comes off as a complete fool and say's lots of silly stuff and when they can the RePUGs pull him out for some strange reason. So do you think he would give a thousand ducats for Mittens. I think not.

Draw your own conclusion, but Morgan is going to be a good Democrat for the rest of his life and Jon Voight has basic problems and needs a good shrink, like most RepuPUGlicans.
