Poll: Putin favorability surges with Republicans

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s favorability among Americans is at its highest point since 2003, with Republicans behind his gains, according to a new Gallup poll released Tuesday.
Twenty-one percent of Americans have a favorable view of the Russian president in the survey — up from 13 percent in 2015 — while 72 percent have an unfavorable view.
Putin’s favorability is up 20 percentage points among Republicans, with 32 percent holding a favorable view of him today, compared to 12 percent in 2015.
Ten percent of Democrats have a favorable view of Putin today, compared to 15 percent in 2015. The Russian leader’s favorability among independents is up 11 percentage points, with 23 percent having a favorable view of him today compared to 12 percent two years ago.

His favorability nearly double with independents. 
It'd be great to have more detailed demographics on the folks who have grown to like Putin.
but I am even more angry with the media. Imo, there are TWO things we need to do first in this country. We are being blasted with too much too soon and truthfully, none of that matters without these two things - This means refocusing EVERY organization to pull together on this, or the individual issues they are fighting for, will suffer. We need to let them feel "Who We ARE" as a united front.
1.) We need all news channels to be a fact check news only station.
Pre tape the interview, stop for fact check, go back to playing it. I think the BS with this "Fake media" crap would have a much harder time sticking, and it would likely add many more viewers (including some republican viewers). I tend to believe they will hear that the news channels will be doing this and they will want to see it.. MOST anyway.
Also, since they run 24/7, lets get with the times and have expert/career individuals from both sides come in and do a long segment with call in questions and answers. That should be going all day and night and "new" news should go on only at 7,8am and 6,7 & 10pm. Weekends should be going over what bills are coming up, what they mean, actions that can be taken to express your opinion on what you would like to see done, etc. EDUCATE.. ( I know that that's a naughty word for those in power) BUT, If CNN, MSNBC, etc. made themselves into a fact based/government educational outlet instead of news personalities, their rating would be SO much higher! The people are scared, don't know who to believe, or where to get factual info.
2.) The other focus we need is to demand paper ballot only. Enough is enough.
If we can't afford the citizens of this country, fact based news and verified voting, I'm afraid we won't survive all the other fights we have ahead of us.
I know I'm in rant mode, but we seriously need to step it up here.
*** We need a PRO Facts/PRO Paper Ballot ONLY Protest *** It should, it MUST make the women's march look like a family gathering.
Why would this administration and our reps/senators give a damn about us & stop what they are doing, if we keep responding the same way --- AS IF the 2018 election will vote them outl IT Won't! We know this, THEY know this, but MEDIA needs to educate the rest who do not know this!! Media OWES our country this.
If media did a total about face, more people would know the truth and Protest for Paper Ballots ONLY with UN Oversight.

Try this thought - Imagine Fox News decided they wanted to revamp the News to meet everyone's needs. So, they announce they will DARE any other station to find a lie in their broadcast. Do you think more people will tune in to see what is going on? I do. Then imagine this.. Fox News decides to announce that they will now be called Fox News and Government Education. They get professors from ALL kinds of universities in there on topics that are affecting the public currently. They have HOURs, morning, afternoon and evening for these topics, with callers from all political sides asking questions. Do you think more people will tune in to interact with the hosts, the guests, on the topics that are important to them? Would they tune in to see what is happening with a bill that interests them that will be heavily debated in the coming week.. do you think they'd want to know the FACTS of what is INSIDE that bill? I do.
Now, I can't see Fox doing this, and I also know it sounds simple on paper. However, we need a complete change in how ALL the news channels are reporting news, and how the 24/7 news channels handle it. That's where we come in, we write them, call them, visit them, Protest them ALONG with doing the same with our local papers, our local governement, our reps, our senators.
ACA matters, selling our national parks land matter, refugees matter, education and school lunches matter... everything matters. How else do we expect to fix all of this, with keeping in the same administration or the like... in our House, our Senate and our White House in 2018, 2020 and so on?! We need News Reform and Paper Ballots Only (with supervision from UN, as we don't trust the overseer's).
We are supposed to be a smart nation, it's time we act like it. News media could be redefined. Now why would they do this.. why would ANY station do this? THE RATINGS WOULD SOAR, and it's all about the mighty buck. They win, and the people win.
