Democrats doubt GOP leaders are serious about looking into Russian election meddling

WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats are questioning whether recent comments from leading Republicans, made at the request of the White House, have compromised Senate and House investigations into possible Russian influence on the recent election.

The comments were from the chairmen of the Senate and House intelligence committees, which are expected to have pivotal roles in investigation of Russian interference in the election and Russian influence in the administration of President Donald Trump.

The comments came last week after the White House admitted contacting Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and asking them to speak to reporters to debunk media reports of "repeated" or "constant" contact between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. Both men have issued statements saying they have done nothing improper.

Jack Langer, spokesman for Nunes, said the congressman had not been influenced by the White House requests. In addition, he said the congressman's comments were appropriate and should not cast doubts on further investigations.

Perhaps it is time for congressional Dems to tell us what they know that they haven't been telling us.

I mean lets face it they stonewalled it for months during the election and I will be honest, I suspect that it might be because the Repugnant leadership was in bed with Russia either helping them or asking them for help in hacking the DNC and Hillarys emails and the only reason they claim to want to look into the hacking now is because they either think they have destroyed all the evidence or they are afraid they havent and want to be able to control the investigation in order to make sure nothing is found.

The GOP knows they can not take a Inquiry into their LEADER. They need the Sucker to sign their Declaration of Destroy America first. The General Dynamics of the USA have swung to the Left since November and they see the hand writing on the wall. All their Campaign Money will not save their collective hind ends. Remember John Dean said, the GOP will become a non factor for Fifty Years after what happened with this past Election.
