Warren demands explanation after MOAB strike
Source: The Hill
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is challenging President Trump on his decision to drop the United States military's largest non-nuclear bomb during an operation in Afghanistan, questioning whether he has a strategy in the region.
"As is the case with every part of Trumps foreign policy, we are all trying to understand: What is the strategy?" Warren told reporters Thursday night after a town hall event with constituents in Massachusetts.
"If we cant figure out what it means, its sort of hard to make that a message."
Warren, one of the most prominent lawmakers on the left, went on to add that the U.S. would need to discover how many civilians were killed in the explosion by the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast, which reportedly has a blast radius of about 1 mile.

(8,203 posts)for MOAB - strategy, plan, goal, affect, casualty summation....without having to demand information..this is all so disgusting...I thought we lived in a democracy - now the military is in control - what? - so this POS doesn't have blood on his tiny hands? (675 posts)Congress needs to intervene, the simple fact that tRump is an illegitimate CIC should preclude him from making decisions like this, he has no business deciding what bombs to drop where.
Senator Warren should bring all Senate business to a halt until tRump is relieved of all of his duties as commander in chief.
Trump has been in office less than 90 days and he has already killed more civilians than Obama did in eight years, it's up to our representatives to stop this carnage.

(24,695 posts)completely and unequivocally not followed the Constitution to demand answers, but what we / you have ....................is complete dereliction to defend the Constitution, and then we have this happening right now, with the media trying there hardest to turn news into infomercials-----------------while the country is being bilked out of millions to play golf, and trapeze around the world
You have three "kids" bilking the country
You have a illegitimate sexual predator bilking the country
You have a cabinet of assholes that bilked the country, and don't belong there at all, and the one that really takes the cake is that one of them has already started dismantling the "public education" so that the for profit charters can really fuck kids
You have a U.S. Supreme Court Justice that is just as illegitimate as the president getting ready and will be sitting in court room getting ready to fuck every man, woman, and child in the country, because of his fucking right wing dogma
You have a party that wrote a convention platform to protect a corrupt state power when it invaded a foreign country, who mind you sent a brigade of army soldiers to die along side Americans and other NATO Forces in Afghanistan-----------and that brigade Ukrainian
You have a illegitimate president that wants to go to war with North Korea, just to see things go boom, just like in Afghanistan, and Syria, not knowing what the fuck is fuck and it's meaning, while eating chocolate cake on our collective dime at his rat infested resort
You have a corporate media sounding like baying hounds trying to be the first ones to "normalize" the bullshit just so that they can get revenue, look no further than how 81 advertisers left the sexual harasser (now on vacation ) and out of the one hour that he was on, fifteen minutes was dedicated to ads to support the shit and make Rupert Murdoch rich to promote his shit
And finally YOU have a "team" that committed TREASON, and a republican Congress that has done exactly what--------------NOT MUCH
And then what we have ....................is complete dereliction to defend the Constitution, and then while this is happening right now, the media trying there hardest to turn news into infomercials to normalize a narcissistic asshole -----------------while the country is being bilked out of millions to play golf, and trapeze around the world looking like a complete and utter pathological lying fraud
And then again we are back to a worthless right wing Congress that has done exactly what-------------trying to make into law death panels and then getting an ear full from voters that are totally fed up and we are going to remove them from power in 2018 and 2020 to correct this right wing fascist shit, because everyone can see with our two eyes and hear with our ears that these assholes are trying to NOT do there job to defend the Constitution, and let the plutocracy continue
