6th District vote: Fulton seeks to extend polling hours; DeKalb and Cobb smooth

Source: Atlanta Journal Constitution

Voters in Georgia’s 6th congressional district have reported few problems Tuesday across the three-county region, although flare-ups have occurred.

The most concerning is in Fulton County, where election officials are asking a judge to allow to precincts to remain open past 7 p.m.

Any polling problem on an election day is serious, but Tuesday’s 6th District race has garnered national attention as one of the first tests of President Donald Trump’s coattails, or lack thereof.

Still in Fulton, Candice Broce, spokeswoman for Secretary of State Brian Kemp, said they received reports early Tuesday that a machine used to check-in voters in a Johns Creek precinct were not properly set up.

A lot of people are being re-routed to other polling places even though the voters say they know they are in the right place.

One woman said she had voted at her Alpharetta polling place in November, but now her address has mysteriously been switched back to south Atlanta!

A couple of places opened late and will remain open later.

Their objective is to force the runoff to make it easier to compete, tear down Ossoff, and cheat, of course.
