GOP mega-donor Adelson 'furious' over Tillerson's Israel comments: report

GOP mega-donor Sheldon Adelson is reportedly furious at Secretary of State Rex Tillerson for comments he made about the U.S. embassy in Israel, according to a new report.
Sources tell Axios that Adelson, who contributed $5 million to President Trump’s inauguration and has donated tens of millions to GOP candidates, was unhappy with comments Tillerson made on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. Tillerson said Trump is being “very careful” in weighing his campaign promise to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
"As you know, the president has recently expressed his view that he wants to put a lot of effort into seeing if we cannot advance a peace initiative between Israel and Palestine," Tillerson said. "And so I think in large measure the president is being very careful to understand how such a decision would impact a peace process."
During his presidential campaign, Trump told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee at its conference that the U.S. "will move the American embassy to the eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem."
