As Romney heads to Israel, new poll shows Jewish Americans favor Obama

Source: CNN

CNN's Dana Davidsen

(CNN) – On the eve of Mitt Romney's overseas visit to Israel, a new poll released Friday indicates Jewish Americans favor the president over Mitt Romney by a solid margin.

According to the Gallup survey, 68% of Jewish Americans back President Barack Obama, while 25% support the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

The numbers follow what some have called a politically timed signing of the U.S.-Israeli security act by the president declaring support for the country before Romney's visit to the Jewish state. Obama signed the bill passed by Congress pledging $70 million to increase U.S. security ties with Israel.

Romney's visit to Israel is part of a three-country foreign policy swing that will take the former Massachusetts governor from London to Tel Aviv on Saturday, then to Poland next week. The Republican candidate is expected to promote a strong alliance between Israel and the United States while meeting with top Israeli officials.

Romney might volunteer to baptize them and their ancestors so they can all be saved, I mean he is a Mormon minister, and I believe that they think only a Mormon minister can baptize you so you can be saved. I mean they already have baptized many Jews who died in the Holocaust.

After all according to them they are the "ONLY" true religion, aren't they?

Of course knowing Mitt, we can only guess what kind of a mess he causes this time!

Obama also used the White House bill-signing ceremony to announce he was releasing $70 million in approved funding for Israel's short-range rocket shield known as "Iron Dome," a project backed strongly by the powerful U.S. pro-Israel lobby
...

He was flanked by U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer and Representative Howard Berman, the bill's sponsors, and several prominent Jewish leaders, including Lee Rosenberg, chairman of AIPAC, the leading pro-Israel lobby, and Richard Stone, chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

Obama, criticized by some of Israel's U.S. supporters for being too tough on a crucial ally, wants to shore up his advantage over Romney among Jewish voters, who could prove critical in battleground states like Florida and Pennsylvania in the November 6 election.

OUTREACH TO ISRAEL'S SUPPORTERS

Obama received 78 percent of the Jewish vote in the 2008 election, but a nationwide Gallup poll in June showed him down to 64 percent backing versus Romney's 29 percent.

Makes me wonder why the repubs are going to continue to run him. Ready for the presidency, doesn't look like that from my window.
